spitoon
You need to unpack it first...then edit it with Wordpad or Textpad, Notepad won't open it properly. I haven't personally used this one, but it's in the downloads section here at MVPmods (CLICK HERE)---->DF Compression Util Try it out.

Actually what you are looking for is "placeholder" #52... The way the datafile is set up is that there will be a line with a bunch of numbers, followed by descriptions...then the following lines will define the values.. In that case, if you scroll up about 60 lines or so, you will find this line: 0xb38e54d3 108 226;83 Rotation;75 CameraClipPlaneType;65 MinDistRelOverrideFOV;36 Rel2UseLimits;35 RelativeTo2Limits;27... (I've only put part of it here, because it's really long) So if you follow that line along, you will find ;52 FOV; meaning that in the lines to follow, placeholder #52 will hold the information for FOV (field of view, I think)... Then if you look in that line you posted, 52 is set to a value of 43.00(at least in the datafile that I'm using), change that value, so it looks like this ---------------> ;52 30.00; Change any more you want to, then save the file (make sure you save it as a plain text file), re-compress it and place it in the /data folder and you should be good to go.
