thespungo
I made these a long time ago, but not in the colors you want. I wear the Samba's, so I thought it'd be fun to put them in the game: Sorry they're so low-res, I must have made them back in 1987..

thespungo
Can you post an in-game screenshot? Or are those not the actual .bmp's you used in the game? I can tell just by looking at those that they don't transfer into the game correctly, so maybe those aren't the ones you used...
FullMetal
You have to change them to bmps, unfortunately im not at home so im not near my mvp, but I can post some when I get home...as far as the mapping those are the same ones I gave tabory and as far as Im aware they installed correctly, and played fine for him, tho you may see something else we didnt see....that why I havent released anything tho', cause I havent been near my mvp 2005 to test and(or) create in game shots. I gotta bunch of stuff to test, and finally release, that will include the gameshots of course, its just been ruff here. the little vacation time I thought I had went real quick and I got busy again, but i'll get this stuff right once im back at the crib, it seems like i'll never get home.. thespungo
There's no rush, really. I was just pointing out that there's no way those gloves and shoes map out correctly in-game. No big deal, though, as it's easily fixable...
thespungo
I spy... some differences. Do you see what I see? Besides the obvious difference of FullMetal's gear being 2x and mine being 1x, what are the differences here? First off, if you can't tell, FullMetal's gloves are laid out completely wrong. When designing gear for MVP, you must remember -- the game maps out objects following it's own guidelines, not your own. So in this case, FullMetal will need to go back and find a default glove or a glove that he knows maps correctly (mine for instance) and then use that glove as a template for his own. Now the shoes. It appears the laces/tongue are angled a bit too high, so that needs to come down a bit. The biggest problem here is that the whole shoe itself is too short, meaning there is too much white space on the top that will cause some serious mapping problems. The heel also looks like a problem, as it is far too wide. Once again, take a default set of shoes (preferably one which already has the adidas stripes) and use that as a template. The key here is this: You can't just make things from scratch -- they have to be based on defaults or else they will not map out correctly. Hopefully I covered everything here, but if not, ask me. Once you get the hang of it, making this stuff becomes fast and easy...
thespungo
Here's a quick little example I whipped up so you can see how the shoe should look:
FullMetal
Here's a quick little example I whipped up so you can see how the shoe should look: Ok...I get it now...I got fooled by the Nike shox because they were made from scratch, where its actually easier to take the patterns, designs, logos, etc. and add them to an item like a shoe(or glove) like you do the jerseys, hats etc. lemme know if i'm finally gettin this...I could smack myself already. thespungo
Yeah, your only problem was doing the shoes from scratch. But that's not all bad, cause now all you have to do is transfer bits and pieces from your shoes, re-size them, and then place them over the template shoe. So did you improve upon the Air Huraches I sent you, or did mine look fine in-game? I'm anxious to see how those turned out...
