Phear
Just got this game, and as boring as it may sound to some, I often enjoy just watching the games played by the computer. I've played many sports games in the past and have noticed that (especially in the last few years) the computer can get pretty crazy sometimes. Does anyone have any specific settings that they find most realistic for this game? For example, I was watching a game between the redsox and yankees. Everything was going fine until the Yankees hit 4 back to back home runs. I quit the game right after that because I was having other issues, but who knows, maybe they would have hit 5 or more. I know that this is possible, but it made me recall games like NFL 2k5 where you had to mess with a lot of settings to get a game to pan out realisticly. Otherwise you end up with scores of like 75 to 63 with 20 interceptions or something crazy like that. Also, is the only way to watch a game to first select your controller, and then once in the game go into the options and set it to CPU, or is there any easier way? Thanks for helping out a noob. Campo09
hey, we were all noobs once. they are several datafiles, you put them in the program file/ea sports/data/ put it in there and you will have a very realistic gameplyay, heres a couple that are good This one is the one i like the most! http://mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Download...details&id=3081 This one has a high heat type batting view http://mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Download...details&id=3187
Phear
Thank you. I did some more searching last night before your reply and found some info on slider settings and the data file to use for some good cpu vs. cpu matches. For anyone looking, I found them by doing a search for cpu vs cpu (I had tried other terms before posting my original message). Anyway they seemed to have helped a lot. I only ran one test game, and I think it might need some slight tweaking, but either way the scoring was much more realistic and the game was much more balanced. Only problem is now the game locks up when trying to play with the Red Sox at home...It seems to work when I use other teams though. Not sure if it was doing this before the datafile/roster mods that I added since I hadn't tried it. I might have to take this one to the support forums. Thanks again. -Josh
