cruecu
I'm playing with the newest UR rosters, and the Nationals took Chacon and Andy Phillips for Soriano. I figured some people would jump on that in a heartbeat, so i hope this helps. I wish it was that easy in real life.
GEOLINK
Yep 2Bad they can't re-do the A-Rod/Soriano trade again huh? Guess I'll just have to tune into Yankee Classics see if they show a game with Alfonso in it. :(

BrooklynNets24
I'd Take Soriano this year over A-Rod.. But only this year.you mean because he had 2 bad games and it was all ove rsportscenter for 4 days straight? i would still choose Arod this year Soriano is just one impatient hitter thats why i dislike him so much just hack and slash for soriano
D-Unit
A-ROD IS NOT HAVING A BAD YEAR. Just because Sportscenter says he is doesn't mean ****. His avg is a low for his standards but the power and production are still there. Read my sig.
YankeesForever
Thank you, DUnit! A-Rod: A: A R: Rocking O: Overbooed D: Dynamic and great player. I wish people would get off his case. He is having a fine year, and will likely get 30-40 HRs (Fine by me, let's see the guys on ESPN do that! At least Tino isn't taunting him, right?). aaronuconn
I would take A-rod over Soriano. Compare last years numbers, or any years numbers. Any YankeesForever, you triple posted.
D-Unit
And Soriano is a bad influence with his ego and lack of hustle. Plus, we already have a leadoff hitter.
TwentySeven
And Soriano is a bad influence with his ego and lack of hustle. Plus, we already have a leadoff hitter. And as bad as A-Rod's fielding has been recently, Soriano's fielding is atrocious in comparison.
dusthimself
What's with the hostility of Sportscenter? They're just pointing out that he has a colorful assortment of errors this year and that almost everyone in yankee stadium aparently hates him. Oh, and I'd take Soriano over Damon... Johnny Damon's arm is about as strong as Danica Patrick's.

Johnny Damon's arm is about as strong as Danica Patrick's. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. ESPN hates A-Rod, and they make everything he does seem like the end of the world. There have been many headlines on ESPN such as "Yankees Win, but A-Rod Makes Another Error" or "A-Rod's Error Helps Sink the Yankees" when his error didn't even have anything to do with the loss. And who gives a **** about Damon's arm? He's a centerfielder. Centerfielders aren't supposed to be known for their arm. Damon has a high average, on base percentage, gets a lot of leadoff hits, and is a very good fielder.

Fielding is every bit as important as offense, and if don't have the ability to throw someone out it's pretty pathetic. And I'm not saying Damon's not a bad player, I'm sorry to offended Yankee Nation for my rude outburst. But I was simply saying I'd take Soriano over Damon any day... I mean when batting counts, the race for October and all, Damon's batting .262 in the last month... Alfonso is batting .337 in the last month and his team has about as much chance as the Cubs do as going to the playoffs.
Friedman
I'm not saying that fielding isn't as important as offense. Damon is an excellent fielder. His .995 fielding percentage is 9th in the major leagues for a centerfielder, and 5th in the American League as a centerfielder. He has made only 1 error this season. Soriano, on the other hand, has a .963 fielding percentage, which is the 3rd worst in the majors for a left-fielder. Damon's 2.57 range factor also beats Soriano's 2.17. He has also made 8 errors, 7 more than Damon. Damon is also hitting .298 this month. I'd rather take Damon's higher batting average, higher on base percentage, better fielding, and better character than Soriano's terrible fielding, and his laziness. But that's just me. GEOLINK
Yeah I would guess so but come on A-Rod's check is more than the Marlins budget would ever wish for. And Soriano was a farm grown talent.

BashBrother
Lets not forget Soriano is a converted fielder...going from infiled to outfield isn't an easy transition..reading the ball off the bat is way diff in the outfield, learning angles and positioning is hard too...ARod is just having an off point to his season..everyone is entitled to a funk..every player goes thru it..heck i go thru a funk everytime i start up MVP and lose..cause i really suck,so i guess its a very prolonged funk for me..i boo myself when i lose..roflmao

And I'm not saying Damon's not a bad player, I'm sorry to offended Yankee Nation for my rude outburst. But I was simply saying I'd take Soriano over Damon any day... because a power hitting leadoff man with an oversized ego and inability to field a ball is everyone's dream. I mean when batting counts, the race for October and all, Damon's batting .262 in the last month... Alfonso is batting .337 in the last month and his team has about as much chance as the Cubs do as going to the playoffs. are you suggesting that soriano hits in the clutch? LMAO. And since when is Damon not clutch? From the observations you have made, I don't think you watch much of what Damon can do.
D-Unit
Lets not forget Soriano is a converted fielder...going from infiled to outfield isn't an easy transition.. And the fact he sucks at every position he plays at makes it even harder. The Nationals kinda put him in LF and prayed he didn't get the ball hit to him. Guest
i'd take Soriano over A-Rod this year. Soriano has been productive in a line up that includes Royce Clayton for half a season. Ya, Royce. I'd take 32 HRs and 63 RBIs for 15 million less than A-Rod. I could take that 15 mil and use it for a better pitcher. Not to mention, its Soriano's 1st year at LF. Please, do not shove how many errors Soriano has this year compared to that 17 to A-Rod.
aaronuconn
I thought A-rod had 18 E's. But A-rod will turn it around, and hit bout .295, 45 HR and 127RBI. Remeber those numbers.
