fuzzone
a lot of people helped. stecropper and alextony made a lot of team rosters. It first started with a couple of team packs, and then people like kraw,yanks763,jim, and a few more started doing teampacks, so when i got to about 30 packs,i decided to release total classics 1, and then more packsa got made so i decided to release total classics 2. TC2 is a compilation of a lot of peoples work
cable901
Does anyone know if there's anyway to make it so that while using the Classic Roster teams the play-by-play guys and the announcer over the stadium PA will say the correct team and league, rather than the team and minor league that they replaced? DRaysGoRocco
I have a recommendation. Since there are only 22 roster spots available for the AA teams, why not make the older teams in the AA spots? Teams like the '19 White Sox, '18 white sox, '41 Bos/NYY, etc. Back then there were less than 25 guys on a team and more complete games (less relievers). The 2000 Yankees and '94 Expos would benefit more with the 3 extra roster spots.
fuzzone
It's a good idea Rays. but it's a waste of time on my part to go back and do that. Thanks for the idea though.

DONT FORGET TO ASK MY DAMN PERMISSION! fuzz one AKA FPUP no problem I'll ask when the time comes, I'll need your help anyway hey remember when Kerm fucked everybody by having the AA with 25 man rosters? Why not do the same thing with the classic roster but to counter act the extra players delete the free agent pool. the roster would not really be for dynasties any way, mainly for online play and single games
DRaysGoRocco
First off, I'd like to say that you all did an excellent job on the roster set. It's something that baseball games have needed for some time. I understand that these players were mostly generated from Lahman's database. The ratings are based on certain stats and other information. But I believe that some of the ratings should be tweaked a little. I also understand that this mod took a large amount of time and it is appreciated. So please don't take this the wrong way. There are a couple of things that I noticed that were a little off. Too many players were given a given a 100 in speed. Darryl Strawberry '86, Babe Ruth '18, Jeter '98 for example. Straw was fast in '86, but not 100. Ruth shouldn't be a 90, even as a 23 year old in 1918. Jeter has good speed, but nowhere near a 100. With GeForce's ratings, Ichiro (98), Juan Pierre (94), and Carl Crawford (94) weren't even given 100's. Joey Gathright (probably the fastest player in baseball wasn't even given a 100. Also on the other extreme. Roger Maris '61 has a 37 in speed. He wasn't extremely fast, but he definately wasn't a station to station runner. GeForce gave John Olerud a 41 in speed, and he's probably the slowest major leaguer. Some pitch velocities are also a little off. For example, Sandy Koufax '57 fastball is at 100 MPH. Although I'm not old enough to have seen him, but I can almost guarantee his fastball didn't reach triple digits. Probably mid-90's. Also, Koufax didn't really hit his prime until 1961. But please don't take this as an insult. Just as those who worked on the mods, I think it should be as realistic as possible.

His fastball approached 100 miles per hour; his curve dove with incredible sharpness. When healthy, he regularly led the league in wins, strikeouts, earned-run average, and several other departments. He broke Bob Feller’s record for strikeouts in a season and pitched no-hitters in four consecutive years. He pitched a perfect game and missed a second by one pitch. DRaysGoRocco
I stand corrected on the Koufax part. My apologies. By the way, I'm working on a 1934 Stl Cardinals "Gas House Gang" package.

A lot of players are too damn fast. take a look at Mindwarped's CINCY REDS 1990 and 1977. He's got at least 3 players on a single team that run at a 100 speed. I'm going to tweak the speed. Maris definitely shouldn't be 37, now ruth was a big guy, but everyone says( Michael Kay just a few days ago) and on websites, that he was one fast fat *******. But he still doesnt deserve a 100, and neither does strawberry. The only one that might deserve 97 speed or so is jeter in 1998. Nobody deserves the flat out hundred.
