Mezza76
Well, I was playing the All Star game last night, was quietly pleased with my performance on the AL being 2-0 up in the top of the 7th against the NL -especially against a 14-3 Pedro Martinez (second year of my KC dynasty). So I go to the bullpen to finish off a good start from Santana...sadly, I gave up a run in top of the 7th...then added runners on 1st and 2nd in the 8th. 8O Up steps Furcal - he hits to center field...the throw to the plate (from Damon) traps Estrada between 3rd and the plate in a RUNDOWN! Well, A-Rod and Mauer decide to play catch for a bit... before Mauer lets a throw go and throws it into LEFT FIELD. All runners score... AL lose 3-2. My question is - what is the worst/most embarrassing fielding errors you have committed? Thankfully this isnt Game 7 of the WS. BrooklynNets24
well i wouldnt call it a fielding eroor but one time i was trying to throw out Ken Griffy out at home from CF(Carl Crawford) and he threw the ball straigth then it started to sink and hit directly at the back of the pitchers mound and the ball went straight up into the air for like 3 seconds I could have got Him at he plate if that didnt happen
TwentySeven
I have a guy in a rundown at catcher and third and I throw to second. It happens soooo much, too!
Campo09
The bases were loaded, two out bottom of the ninth game seven im leading 1 nothing, ball hit to me, and it goes right threw his legs, luckily Randy Winn had been playing extremely shallow and then threw the winning run out, but the damage had been done, i later won however. sdoyle7798
Mine was a great play turned bad. Jim Edmonds absolutely ROBS a homerun, then in the excitement, I TAP third base instead of holding it, and the ball trickles in. The runner on second is able to come all the way in, tying the game. I didn't lose, but without that play, I could have avoided extra innings.
Kccitystar
Actually the worst is having a high rated fielder make the error as opposed to a mid-card fielder, because they're not expected.

NYM
The worst is when you have an online throw from center to home and it's gona beat the runner by a mile, and then BAM! it hits the back of the pitchers mound and over the catchers head.
omairee
with all due respect, i had it worse than that. zambrano pitching a perfect game into the 7th inning against the hated rival cardinals. 1-0. it's late in the season, this start will most likely lock Z to win the cy young, and a win here puts the cubs in command of the division (by 5 games instead of 3 if they were to lose) and should fuel us to the playoffs. 2 outs in the inning, 0-2 count to rolen (batting 2 for some reason), inside fastball jams him down the first base line. ball rolls to gold glove candidate derek lee, and then by him.. as he does what looks like a trip. rolen ends up on first, pujols then hammers the second pitch of the AB, a fastball well in on his hands, or so i thought, out of the park. cardinals go on to win the game, the series, and the division, i however sneak in with the wild card and match up against the cardinals in the playoffs, cards with home field, of course it plays out like it's supposed to for the first 4 games, and then i win in 6, but i was forced to pitch Z in 6, thereby keeping him out of game 1 in the series, i end up losing the series in 6, and had Z all lined up to pitch game 7... instead he came in as a RP in game 6 and the offense couldn't rally enough to win. damn the A's, damn the goat, damn the cardinals, and damn freak errors. Mezza76
omairee, that's rough. Reminded me of 'those' errors when the ball bobbles down the 1st base line...kicks up off the bag and then the 1st baseman stuffs it. Hate those errors.

Rags
i haven't done anything like that but i've been a victim of a handful of triple plays i'll have guys on 1st and 2nd with nobody out and occasionally i'll do a hit and run.....linedrive to an infielder and the runners are toast
SSDHawaii
I had a perfect game going in the 8th with Brian Bannister. 2 outs 2 strikes a hit to third, now usually if the ball is close enough to the field they (cpu) will pick it up. So unknowing to me, the cpu wasn't on my side with this play and the ball literally rolled between Wright and Reyes. In the following at bat my shut out was blasted into right field. Friedman
There was once the bases loaded, and two outs, and the game was tied at 2 in the bottom of the 9th. I was pitching, and got what I thought was a line drive. The fielder caught it, but the "out" didn't display. I just thought the game was taking a long time to respond. Turns out that it was a ground ball, and I didn't throw it to a base. The winning run scored, and I lost.

Believe me, now I throw to 1st on EVERYTHING! However, soon after, I modded my fielding camera to give me a better angle.

BountyHunter
What once happened to me was...very bad experience... I was pitching with Jamie Moyer into 8th in my Fantasy Drafted Dynasty, 3-6, bases loaded, 2 outs, and the batter I couldnt remember...(someone mid-speed...couldnt remember who...) And he flies one out to shallow center...Jeremy Reed dives...and wont get to that ball, and the ball rolls all the way back to the wall...Bernie then took the ball, toss it back to the catcher. THat batter was about at 3rd. AND UNFORTUNATELY the ball hit the bag, and bounces up, so the catcher didnt get the ball, giving him an Inside The Park Homer...I ended up losing the game by 1... theshadeofice
santana had 9 strikeouts at 9th inning, with me leading by 2 runs or something. popup down the first base line, morneau had about 10 seconds to make that play, but me being me, i want santana to get 10 strikeouts and so i deliberately don't catch the ball, to try and strike the batter out. of course, you know what happens next. single, single, homerun. I never really had any heartbreaking errors, just stupid plays on my part -- diving for balls turning singles into triples, throwing to 2nd instead of throwing to first. The worst errors are on pick off plays when the pitchers throws the ball underneath the 1st baseman's glove.
