when i was young my parents bought me triple play 1993 for sega genisis. after that i loved the game (i was 4). when i was 8 my step dad met my mom and he started taking me to sox games. now he has season tickets and i go whenever i have time.

well since i am from europe my exposure to baseball is minimal and i know for sure my first game was a high school game when i was 6 but at the time soccer was god so no real interest. In the summer of 2004 i returned to America and my host in Minnesota said that one of his friends would take me to a twins game and i said kool and in an attempt to not stand out in the crowd i bought a fake Doug Mientkiewicz shirt. First plate apperence for Doug he sents it over the wall in center field and boom i was hooked. But it wasn't till i later that summer was in New Hampshire that someone told me about the red sox story and the curse and such and then i started following them and the team spirit had me hooked. And then it was in 2004 what more can i say. I have been to 5 MLB games in total but still none at Fenway.

Six years ago or whatever, I was visiting my cousins out in CA. ANd they had this game called MLB Showdown. I really liked this guy named Greg Maddux, and when I came home, I bought the game, and I was totally hooked on Maddux. I became a huge Braves fan. Although I still really like Maddux, I was still hooked on the Braves. So thats my story.

2 or 3 years old. Always been a Mariners fan, as my brothers and dad were too. Just kinda grew up around it, it was always on tv every night. Around 6 or 7 years old i obsessivly read the sports section daily and started memorizing stats. Which puts me in right around the 95 season. On a side note, i remember how mad i was in 94 with the strike.

2002 World Series that is all I can say. After that day I became a Giants fan

now, obviously i'm a giant fan - so this is coming from that side of the fence: you became a fan of the team that choked like little [unusable word]es? i mean, it's good to have you aboard; but i went on a one week giants bash after that performance...

I grew up with the Giants and the A's. Both of my grandfathers love the Giants and the A's. My Dad loves them both. My Uncle loves the Giants. If you haven't gotten it yet, if you don't like the bay area teams in my family you're an outlaw. I went to my first game when I was 5. A's vs Red Sox. A's win 7-3. I was intranced by the ballpark. I loved everything about it. I'm happy to say that a streak began that day that still hasn;t been broken. The A's are 45-0 when I am at the game. I need playoff tickets...

my story's a lot like yours. my father and his side of the family are from the bay area (san leandro) so i grew up on the giants and a's and the raiders and 9ers. and whenever we were there to visit my grandparents we took in as many games as possible. but, my love was always for the giants and never really for the a's. i love the raiders and 9ers equally though, although lately it's been a bitter love affair. the neighbor across the street was a scout for the reds (pete rose era) so i always kind of pulled for them. also living in texas for 28 years i fell in love with the rangers. i guess you could say i pull for 2 teams in MLB. the giants and rangers= heartache almost every year.

i'm also proud to say that now i'm in L.A. i have my own little streak going. every time i go to dodger stadium the dodgers lose and for a lifelong giants fan there really is nothing sweeter. i'll be there thursday when they face the rockies crossing my fingers that the giants get hot for the final stretch.
