NYM
Well eventually they were going to come out with a movie about the 9/11 attacks. They did it with other famous disasters (Pearl Harbor, Titanic, etc.) I was thinking they wouldn't make one so soon, maybe in 2030 or something like that. I watched the previews and it sent a chill up my spine reminding me of that day. I can tell you every moment from when the first kid got called out of class, to the morning after thinking it was a dream. It's about the last two polics officers recovered from the rubble. Some people aren't sure if there going to see it, but I will. It sounds like a great storyline. Shows the courage and bravery of every person on that day. www.wtcmovie.com
kinghernandez
It's a good idea but too soon.
sfgiantsflgators
might see it eventually on dvd - but definitely not in theatres: as unpopular as it might make me, the people doing it are less interested in the story then they are about ressurecting an emotion in an effort to make money off a subject they know people will respond to. evil1182
I’m definitely going to see it, I still remember that day like it was yesterday I was shaving getting ready for work and my friend calls and tells me about the first plane hit I actually hung up on him thought he was joking until I looked out my window and was holy s***, this has to be the worst of day ever for this country. I thank god to this day that I was running late, I had community service that day at 100 centre st. like 2 blocks away.
NYM
Over here on the Island, if your right near the ferry terminal at St. George you can get a nice view of the Trade Center. On my way home from being picked up early that day, we took a ride down there and we wanted to catch a glimpse of the towers. Sadly they weren't there when we went. I'll always remeber as a little kid coming home from the Ranger games and we would always pass the WTC. I would always want to stop at there and just look at them. I'll also remember the first time we went into the sity after the attacks. I was going to the knicks game and just coming out of the tunnel to the right I saw a peice of the WTC standing with the bright lights. Then the aftermath. All you would see on the Island were dump trucks with Trade Center debris and if you were behind one, little peices of metal or whatever would hit your car. And the retired dump once again reopened. I'm just glad it's all over. Nothings worse than the day after the disaster and the weeks following. It's like a death in the family. First shock, than anger, sadness, depression (for some) and then it kind of just settles in and you can go on with your life.
medric822
anyone remember the way that everyone was nice and helpful to eachother on the following days of 9/11? it's a shame that the only way that America acts as a family insted of millions of screaming voices are when tremendous tragadies happen. BigDom
I want to see it, but I don't want to pay to see it... why should I pay for someone to re-create the biggest tradegy in America... I would only pay for it, if I knew that all the procceds were going to charity.... IMO, If I was an actor, there's no way I can take money for making a film like this... It just wouldn't be right at all.
JoeyMcM93
I would like to see it. It was so quiet at school that day it was freaky...Even I was quiet. I don't think my teacher yelled at me once...That never happens. Maybe I'll take my girlfriend to see it. Doesn't look like the type of movie to see with a group of jocks. I think it will be a moving movie but I agree with Kinfhernandez, it's too soon. I agree with you medric. You don't see the things that people did after that day too often now. Bama
I'm probably going to get flamed for this.. I don't like the idea of this movie, I didn't like the idea of the United 93 movie. I'll admit, I didn't do much research into this movie, but my opinion is that first, its too early for a movie like this (Pearl Harbor came out around 60 years after it occured) and second, to me, it just seems like a couple of people trying to make major money off of a national tragedy. fred13
Its directed by Oliver Stone. Same guy who created that trash Alexander. Kinda tells you what this movie looks like. Like people before me, the same philosophy behind movies like Pearl Harbor and Titanic, this movie was created because producers know that an event like 9/11 or any other tragedy will draw people into the theatre. more people=more money. Simple as that.

I agree with you about the motin picture industry making money off a tragedy like this, but they did say the first weekend this is released half the proceeds go to 9/11 charities. Actually they made a bunch of Pearl Harbor movies shortly after also Titanic had some movies right after.
NYM
Or the way everyone had American flags on thier car and flags on thier houses. Now you don't see it anywhere but on public transportation and the occasional car. E Pluribus Unum- Out of many one.
medric822
Seeing the shadow of the plane going by in that trailer sends chills down my spine. -dan Yeah, although I wasn't anywhere's near it, I had a relative who was there, with the NYPD on that day. Also, after it happened, my parents went to NYC to help out, but they weren't allowed in that far. They said, that on the Brooklyn bridge, was a huge flag that hung over the lanes going into the city. Also, that the look of shock and awe were on all. that they saw the presidents motorcade passing through NYC, and that after 5P.M., that army soldiers were on every street corner with a high powered rifels. They had taken many great pictures of this, as well as the towers, but unfortunately, these pictures were distroyed by our dog, who got ahold of the film and chewed it up. I never got to see these pictures, but they said that they were priceless.

Jeeper
I think its a shamefully greedy idea to make a movie about Sept 11th, unless 100% of the profits went to 9/11 charities and everybody who was involved worked for free, which obviously is not the case. I for one will not see it for that reason, and also because I am simply not ready to relive those emotions again.
Pirate
It is sickening that a movie would be made about this event. I don't go to the movies that often, but I would never even rent this film. This is all for profit. Why don't we just throw the old news coverage ont he big screen and charge people $11 to see it. Stone and his movie production company are looking to make a buck off of an American tragedy that my friends and family are still fighting to stop. For God's sake we are still at war. Bigschiff7
I remember sitting in home and careers class in 6th grade. Over the announcment the principal announced it. Me and my friends looked at eachother and kinda laughed thinking it was a joke. Later we found out it wasn't and a terrible attack had been dawned on the US.
