cybernetic
Errors Prove Costly as Yanks Sweep Jays NYY 7, TOR 2 Yankees scored 4 on 3 homers off Ted Lilly although he left trailing just 4-2.. the bullpen couldn't keep it close and the offense couldn't get much going. Jays defense committed a season high 4 errors, including 2 from Troy Glaus. Box Score

cybernetic
Lester Outduels Halladay BOS 4, TOR 0 I couldn't get much of anything going off Lester as he twirled a complete game shutout. Ortiz, Hinske and Crisp hit late homers for Boston. Box Score Next up: Burnett vs. Schilling in game 2 of the series (the finale). Then it's a three games at home against the Angels. cybernetic
Boston too much for Jays in Sweep BOS 9, TOR 4 Burnett was doing well until the 5th where he allowed 5 runs. The first one bases loaded walk where John Gibbons was ejected for arguing. There were actually a few pitches in that inning which were very questionable and then after the walk, Coco Crisp hit a grand slam. Boston added a couple more in the later innings of Francisco Rosario. I got a couple two run shots but ended up losing 9-4. Box Score Next up: The Angels at home. Ted Lilly vs. Ervin Santana in the first game. Movement after the game: Called up RHP Josh Towers and 1B Kevin Barker Sent down RHP Francisco Rosario and LF John-Ford Griffin Jays Notes: Dmitri Young is expected to play a lot more in LF now with Barker and John Hattig splitting time at DH. Towers is expected to be in the bullpen for the time being as a long and middle reliever. He could get a spot start in a double header or if one of the starters were injured.
