jm0ney2001
I love the new MVP 06 mod and everything, but I cannot feel good about any of the datafiles that I have used. My question is... Is there a datafile that plays like the origonal EA sports MVP05 or is there some way I can go back to the way MVP05 played with out getting rid of all the great mods stuff?? Thank you. kgbaseball
Just delete the datafile.txt from your /data folder.
jm0ney2001
wont that give me the datafile that came with the mod?
Jim825
wont that give me the datafile that came with the mod? The datafile.txt file in your /data folder IS the one that came with the mod. If you delete it, you will go back to using the default datafile that came with the game.
snepp
The 06 mod came with the datafile.txt embedded in the datafile.big. There are a couple ways to get the default back. Either copy the original datafile.big off the CD, or extract the datafile.txt out of the original .big.
jm0ney2001
Thanks, but I have no idea how to do that. can someone post the origional datafile big and I can dl it and place it over the mod one?
snepp
I'll try butchering my way through the process. On disc 1 there is a large zip file, inside of that zip file you can find the datafile.big. It should be in the data/datafile folder. Extract it some place handy. You can use EAGraph (located in the download section under tools and editors) to open the big file. Once opened locate the datafile.txt, highlight it, then go to the "File" menu and choose extract. Have it extract to the mvp/data folder. It will probably ask you to decompress it, say "no".
