Need help with Farm System

Just wondering what your strategies are for keeping up your AAA-A farm system. I start to get a little overwhelmed after looking at the numbers and lineups and pitching rotation and ALL THE NUMBERS AND..... phew... gotta calm down. By the end of it I alwasy have an okay MLB, pretty good AAA and a crappy AA, and A.

Really guys just any general-advanced advice on how to keep it all under control. Especially when i accidently hit CPU optimize roster and it screws it all up.

*note* i play on MVP difficulty with no aide and my farm league okay right now but theyre gonna get worse if i dont learn how to deal with it.

THANKS A BUNCH.

well.. my tip is to not hit "CPU optimize roster" ever because it screws up everything.. especially starters. Many starters will be in long relief at a higher level when they really should be starting and a lot of relievers will end up starting in the low minors especially veterans who should be in major league bullpens

We could give lots of tips.

Don't pay crap to A or players. Save yourself some $. Those players are a dime a dozen, so if they ask to be paid more $, don't pay it if you don't want.

Trade guys away that cost you too much and their contract is about to expire.

When drafting, draft your hitters based off of Plate Discipline. The higher the number the better. Those guys will do very well for you, even if they are crappy players.

I also found that I ignored the AA and A teams too. Sometimes you need to sit down and take the time to clear out the 26+ year old guys who simply aren't going to cut it. I prefer to get younger players from the Free Agent list cheaply, fill the positions and read the scout reports (that ultimately give away a players potential - or lack there of). Try and get some depth - and do what MLB teams do... plan for the future - have an ageing star SS? Plan with a youngster -maybe grab one from the draft - and give him a few seasons and the odd mini game in spring training.

Good luck.
