WinnieThaPujols
Do you guys use it or not? I used to use it... but then it got to the point where it was too easy. I turned it off, and, figureatively, now it's too hard for me. The thing I really dislike about Hitter's Eye is that the changeup turns green. How ridiculous is that? If a Hitter could distinguish between a changeup and a fastball that easily, guys like Johan Santana, Tervor Hoffman and Cole Hamels would be nothing. I started a Yankees 'chise (I am too partial to my team to start a Cards one), and I can't hit worth crap. I play on All-Star with adjusted settings... but it's so hard to hit! It's like I'll get a random 8-run outburst every few games but for the most part I hit like .230 as a team. Incredibly frustrating... And htiting home runs seems to difficult. It's like I either have to guess a pitch and wait on it, or go for an inside-the-park base hit. One thing I'd really like to see implemented is a "bat speed" type of thing -- something that allows the greatest hitters in the game to wait longer (thus having great disicpline) but still having power. Does it seem to you guys that you either pick patience or power? It's like I can't utilize both. Pitching speed is at 0, but it's a lot more difficult now that hitter's eye if off (when it was on I had it at like 40!).
cybernetic
Really I have it on but I rarely pay attention to it
turma
I have it on, no way I would ever be able to hit without it. There are two things that I'd like to be changed, though. 1. You can see the color of the ball in the hand way before the pitch with some pitchers and with some pitchers there is a glitch where the ball overlaps the glove at the start of the windup and you can see the ball color. 2. Hitter's can't see pitch grips in real life but the thing they read is ball rotation and especially hand motion. I think the hitter's eye should be implemented to those options rather than just making the ball color change.

The ball changing color is about the only way they could accurately reflect #2 though. It should change after it leaves the pitchers hand though. aaronuconn
I like Hitters eye, but I don't always use it.

For example the cpu never surprises me with the change up, like in real life it would. The ball should get it's hitters eye color after the throw just before the plate, so you wouldn't get the advantage even before the throw.
gdutov
it is pretty hard to hit without hitter's eye. My offense comes alive either when a good pitcher has bad stuff that game OR if i play against a guy with only one good pitch and sit on it. WinnieThaPujols
Yep. I agree with you guys completely. Seeing the color of the ball while the pitcher is holding it it silly! It drove me insane online. Adam Wainwright was exponentially more productive when I played my cousin online, because Carp's windup allowed his pitch to be relealed... very, very lame. That's why I started playing without hitter's eye. I wish there was something that let you pick which pitches changed colors. I'd only have like sliders/curveballs light up. I don't like how you can tell the difference between a Clemens sinker and a fastball. And while changeups can keep my off-balance, I rarely strike out on them with Hitter's Eye. I guess I'm going to have to either jack up my offensive sliders or maybe lower pitch speed or something. I find it unbearable to play with Hitter's Eye on. In hindsight it's much more of a gimmick than a genuinely convenient feature, because it was poorly implemented.
Hoop27
I turned mine off a few months ago and i'm glad I did. While it was difficult at first I learned to be patient at the plate and try and get ahead in the count then start looking for pitches in zones. Other advice I can give ya for hitters eye off is watch as the ball comes out of the pitchers hand and see how it moves that should help you a bit. BigRog
i hate it because it screwed me up when the pitcher released the ball. it didnt seem realistic to me so i turned it off. you know what i hit way better with it off then on
Mathies_dane
Well i have it on but i can't see how it helps to which pitches to which swings i just go with the "see the pitch hit the pitch method"
kinghernandez
I like it. It seems like that's equal to reading a pitchers arm angle. It's way to hard without it because every pitch looks the same. Try playing against Wakefield. I've never seen anyone throw a fastball with a knuckleball grip.
Chriskopaka
I just see the pitch and hit the pitch. It is not that hard.
Rags
i use the hitters eye on mvp difficulty....i do agree that a changeup should be white tho or atleast a light grey
