jxtuoleafs
In regards to the fastball velocity, I'm just about to turn 17 and heading into my senior year of high school ball as a pitcher. In my sophmore year, I could probably hit 65 at best...but I started to work a lot on not just my abs, but my core. Your core can play a huge part in most physical activity you do, but is really, really underrated. Several games of long toss and pitching every 3 days later...this year, I was clocked at 77 mph. So, I'm not going anywhere like some of the guys on this board...but whether the 12 mph increase was due to my maturity or the core...working the core probably wouldn't hurt you. (By the way...your "core" are the muscles on the sides of your abs sort of thing...a lot of crunches to the side and planks will do the trick to gaining a powerful core).
