As far as your firewall settings, just allow MVP 05's exe file to have access to your computer. With all the mvp players you figure they would be more leagues..Im in one good one and on the waiting list for a few others.. However, why don't you have a CD key? If you bought the game, you should have one. Look towards the upper left hand corner of the page in the main menu box under the heading called "competitions". However all the spots have been filled, but I guess you could sign up to the waiting list if you want.
