...cause Voltron is back! :D Yep, the ORIGINAL Voltron is going to be released in September on DVD! Not that crap they churned out later down the road...I'm talking about the original 1980's masterpiece. I had all the toys, books, cassettes, etc. Gonna kick ***!

So I figure, with this release, I would throw up a poll to decide what the best cartoon of that time was. Can't list them all, so click "other" and then let us know who "other" stands for. Woohoo! :jive:

I never disliked RAM until today. What a sucky day.

So, re: your vote, how can you put all of those up there. Are they not all "seperate but equal?"

What was that blue cassette player's name who had the cassette tapes come out and attack you. I loved that guy.

Transformers all the way. THose toys was cool. I remember when toys r rus open people have to fight to buy the latest one. It was sort of like Pokemon/Power Rangers of today.

ANd I heard STEVEN SPIELBERG (aka E.T etc...) will make Transformers into real life Movie next year.

THundercats THundercats Thundercats Hoooooo

When I was a kid I heard a rumor that they actually produced (in plastic, naturally) a sword that was just like the one in the cartoon. I searched and searched everywhere for it, but was never able to find it. And I mean one that transformed from his blade into a sword. This was probably the most sought after toy from my childhood. Heck, I'd still like to have it :)

I saw the preview for this already. Well, it wasnt much of a preview, just alot of shadows, something to do with a (i think) Mars expedition. I think it was previewed during the X3 movie. I'm sure there is something on the web somewhere about this, possibly superherohype.com or http://www.efavata.com/CBM/index.htm (comic book movie site) may have something on it.

:lmao:

i'm alright with felipe for the most part - he definitely needs to work on his pitcher management though. the main thing i pray for every night is for everyone over 35 to get traded. if we're going to lose all the damned time, i'd much rather see it done with some good 'ol inexperienced youths. :D

So, re: your vote, how can you put all of those up there. Are they not all "seperate but equal?"

pretty good point. everyone of the ones up there are quality in my book. and thundercats should probably be a choice as well. my order would probably look like this:

1. Voltron

2. G.I. Joe

He-Man

TMNT

5. Thudercats

6. Compulation of others

...as for Transformers, it seems to always be more popular than Voltron; but I never really got excited about it. It would be in the compulation for me...

SAY IT ISN'T SO MO! after all we've been through.

here's my take on felipe then i'll let the thread go back to it's intent.

he was great in montreal where he had to shuffle lineups daily with unheard of talent, and young kids because he lost future stars to higher paying teams. he was great at that.

problem is IMO he tries too hard to do that in SF and it isn't working. he doesn't have an ever revolving team and he has veterans. he just messes with the lineup too much with all his tinkering. IMO he should have a set lineup and go with it. he's always changing the batting orders making subs and such players never get a chance to be comfortable in my view. dusty managed in a more old school style - which i guess is my style or the style i like. he had a starting lineup and a batting order and he went with it and he used his role players as role players. i know we're old but all in all it should be a fairly solid lineup. if he would just quit messing with it and leave it alone for a while i think we would pop off some winning streaks. but, he's gotten used to making so many switches it's all a big mess.

that's my view on it, i hope dusty is back next year and they just let felipe go or stay on as an assistant. dusty in SF was a perfect match and i think we would have won a title with him.

back to your thread.
