I know what you mean but when it gets dark I usually watch cartoons, not that crappy new stuff but that god classic stuff, and some stuff from the nineties.

You like USA shows? I looooove Monk, Deadzone, and Psych. I forgot to put them on, same with Without a Trace, and the old marvel cartoons. And Early Edition was one of the best.

I only own two DVD sets of TV shows -- The Avengers, starring the then-luverly Diana Rigg as Emma Peel; and The Critic, starring not-so-luverly Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman.

I also like My Name is Earl, the Office, Mythbusters, any animated series that Bruce Timm is involved with, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and my wife has gotten me involved against my will in Grey's Anatomy.

Dr. Who is the most retardis show on television.

Oh yeah, I forgot about House! I watch it simply because I love seeing the guy who was once simple-minded, happy-go-lucky Bertie Wooster (from the novels of one of my favorite authors, PG Wodehouse) play one of the grumpiest SOB's on television.

And Red Dwarf too! I caught that on PBS this weekend for the first time in years. Thinking about getting the DVD sets for Christmas now.
