mrmariner
DVD and CD are not the same. You can not get software for a cd rom drive to read DVD it just won't happen. DVD drives are cheap, upgrade and that drive will read cd's also.
JoeyMcM93
My old computer had the same problem. I found one pretty cheap that runs CD's and DVD's. Shouldn't be too hard to find one.

Hoop27
they are very cheap Medric (a dvdRW) just go over to your local mom and pop computer store and they will have them there for cheap and will likely install it for you if you need.

adonis2109
Yeah Medric I bought a really great NEC CD/DVD burner from Newegg about 7 months ago; best drive I've ever owned and the price was right. Check it out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827152058
