D-Unit
No, this isn't gonna be a regular dynasty. But since I have such an odd team to find, a bunch of weird things are supposed to happen with this club. So when I feel like bragging about my ridiculously unfair team, you can read about it here. Here is my lineup and rotation: LF Carl Crawford SS Derek Jeter 3B Alex Rodriguez 1B Ryan Howard RF Alex Rios C Dioner Navarro CF Bubba Crosby/Melky Cabrera (splits between righty/lefty) P Pitcher 2B Chone Figgins SP Johan Santana SP Felix Hernandez SP Scott Kazmir SP Aaron Small SP Ryan Madson LRP Ron Villone RP Kerry Wood RP Scott Proctor RP Chad Cordero LOOGY Neal Cotts SU Joel Zumaya CL Huston Street I traded for A-Rod, Santana, and Kerry Wood. I actually traded for Konerko to DH, then I realized the Astros are in the NL so I traded him for Wood. These trades aren't hard when you give them a solid player and then a prospect. I loaded the minors with prospects so there is no issue there. So the first weird thing to happen is Alex Rios gunning down two runners at the plate in the first inning. D-Unit
The next weird things to happen are weird indeed. Johan Santana allows a single to Brad Radke. Johan Santana then hits a squibbler down the third base line, bouncing off the bag for a base hit. Then to top it off, Johan Santana...goes deep? That two run shot gives me a 5-0 lead. Then in the seventh inning, Johan Santana leads off with a single. An innocent single. Then a rally ensues, and Johan Santana finds himself at bat with the BASES LOADED. At-bat in progress... Johan Santana works a full count, and then rips a BASES CLEARING 3 RUN DOUBLE!
