Swapping Teams from AAA to MLB

My dad has been a HH man for many years, and what he enjoys doing is taking recent retired players, FA & unsigned players, then forming a team to take through a season. He always uses the Devil Rays, but has always called them the Buffalo Bisons because he just loves that team name for whatever reason.

Well, he recently installed MVP 2004, playing it CPU vs. CPU, and really likes it a lot, but said how cumbersome it'll be to try and edit the teams to 2006. So I of course suggested using MVP 2005 and the 2006 mod to save a whole lot of time.

So he's going to install his MVP 2005, and I'll bring him over the patches and LL and datafile, etc to add. But then I was thinking "Hey! The Buffalo Bisons actually exist in this game in AAA, and wouldn't it be great if you could somehow swap that team with the Devil Rays making them a AAA team and the Bisons an MLB team!"

I have a feeling it's more than likely possible, but I have no clue as to how to do it. Would that be relatively simple to do? I guess this is more of an instruction request rather than a mod request, but this seemed like an appropriate place to ask.

I'd really appreciate it, because my dad, who's 80 now, would be so tickled if it was possible. He's been tolerating hearing the announcers call them the Devil Rays for so many years, it'd really be a big deal to him.
