chezboots
To have more injuries or to make a player more injury prone do you move the sliders towards the + side or the - side? I know in madden you pump up a players injury rating to 99 if you do not want them injured. Not sure for MVP.
ronmexico
They are more injury prone when the sliders are shifted towards the negative side, like its negative to have injuries... =D
chezboots
Cool, Thanks, Maybe know I can have some injuries in my Dynasty, I'm in June and nobody has been hurt yet. I would like an excuse to give some Rooks a chance or be able to call up Randall simon who I signed to Triple A.
ronmexico
Ooo, just wait, even if you don't turn it up, you are gonna get hit hard with injuries.

I would like an excuse to give some Rooks a chance or be able to call up Randall simon who I signed to Triple A. I haven't adjusted my injury sliders at all.. I've played 9 MLB games and although no major leaguers have been injured, I've had 3 minor league players be injured and go on the DL.
zeppelin99
I've played maybe 20 games in my new dynasty, and already I have 3 pitchers on the DL with fractured legs. It's silly.
cazcryy
hmm... well with the default injury I've played about a hundred games in my owner mode and.. lets see.. minor leaguers get hurt all the time, but in the majors, Javy Lopez got on a 15-day DL a bit ago David Wright about 6 days out...Reed Johnson..and about 3 other players.. Most of 'em i get from trying to make a diving catch and crash into a wall and fracture a body part.. but I;ve never had an injury going more than 15 days except one which was longer than 60 days.. LetsGoFish2015
Also, I can get tired of the "212 days" or "67 days". And some of these same injuries like "torn muscle in right shoulder", etc.
BountyHunter
Im just in my first season of my current dynasty, and I already haf 2 players out for season, Kenji Johjima 2xx days w/ "torn muscle in left shoulder", and De Los Santos 6x/7x days w/ "left rotator cuff" or sth like that...and now I haf to live w. my only backup catcher and use someone whos not suppose to be a catcher (Willie Bloomquist...), and also I got no Left hand Specialist now= =
xiberger
They are more injury prone when the sliders are shifted towards the negative side, like its negative to have injuries... =D I strongly doubt that. ronmexico
I see, my mistake, I am an idiot, though I still have tons of injuries, even when shifted towards negative. I hate this game...lol, I love it.
Hayman19
I havent adjusted my sliders and ive had the most injuries ive ever had through maybe 2 months. First Troy Glaus had a torn knee mcl and was out until the all start break. That was maybe 2 weeks into my dynasty. So then i signed free agent Tony Batista for a 1 year contract to take his place until glaus come back. Maybe 3 weeks later he gets injured after diving and missing a ball. He was only out for about a week. Then Aaron Hill goes down for about a week and a half. Recently one of my young catchers i called up to play dh and occasionally catch got injured andis currently on the 15 day dl but will have to be put on it again most likely. I must admit tho it's been kinda fun trying to fill the holes in my team due to the injuries and some of the minor leaguers have been playing quite well. Not to mention Lyle Overbay and Bengie Molina have been hitting machines leading the majors bactting over .340 and molina batting over .
maxbjr
I have my injury sliders set to +20, as per hoops sliders, and I get a normal amount of injuries. But then I play all my games, if you you sim or use manager mode alot you may want to set the sliders betwwen 0 to -10. Players seem to get hurt more in simed games for some reason. LetsGoFish2015
Without editting the LOC files, how can we change how injuries go, such as 214 days, torn left shoulder muscle, etc.?!
ronmexico
Can't really, but I can suggest an idea if you are desperate. Do a global edit, and raise everyones durability by 10 or 20 or 10000 if you have to.
cybernetic
I have my injury sliders at 0. I play all MLB games and manage the minor league games.. I've have 3 guys go down to injury in the minors in the first week. None serious.. all 15 day DL only.
ronmexico
O, simming is different, the players get injured more often. I guess its cause the compuuter plays more recklessly.
cybernetic
O, simming is different, the players get injured more often. I guess its cause the compuuter plays more recklessly. Here's how the injuries happened. 2 AA starters were injured.. neither of them threw a lot of pitchers or went beyond the 3rd inning. Some sort of tendonitis to one of them and the other guy has a forearm injury. Also the A-ball infielder got injured, I don't know what happened there. LetsGoFish2015
I don't want to eliminate injuries, just make them more realistic on what they are.
ronmexico
I understand that, but even people with 100 durability get injured, so if you must, maybe the global edit thing isn't such a bad idea. Maybe it is :)
LetsGoFish2015
I meant realistic TYPES of injuries and OUT times.
ronmexico
O, oops, I can't help you there...I don't know if that is moddable, I don't know what files would control that, I would assume that it is actually done inside the exe file, which would make it unmoddable, but hey, I might be way off base. Hayman19
My injuries seem pretty realistic. Like its not some oh spriained hand, out for the season lol. So far my 2 biggest injuries are Glaus out for 60ish days(about 30 left) with a torn knee mcl after we dove for a foul ball and landed hard. And my other injury was wells with a torn knee mcl, out for about as long as glaus, luckly he wasent injured the same time glaus was but is still out for about 60 days(47ish remaining). Ive also had a few other injuries for my minor leaguers and none of them seem too much out of the ordinary.
ronmexico
I've had some weird ones though, such as my first baseman runs for a foul ball and suffers a concussion. Another instance of that was when I slid into second base feet first, with no one there, and seperated a shoulder.
cybernetic
I get a lot of the other team's guys getting injured sliding into second trying to break up a double play
