aztex00
Hey guys, I don't usually post on these forums, but I just got the xbox360 controller for PC and needed a way to get it to work with MVP 2005. I got it to work flawlessly (mirroring the PS2 pad mappings) with both the XBCD and windows drivers. I updated the x360 controller sticky in the support forums because none of the code posted there worked for me, and Kraw's link is down. Anyway, Madden 07 PC is fully designed for the 360 controller(the passing icons correspond to the controller's buttons...no more numbers), so I wanted to let you fellow Madden players know that you can use the windows drivers with MVP 05 and avoid the trouble of changing to XBCD drivers everytime to want to fire up MVP 05. NOTE: Vibration does not work with the windows drivers. Other than that, it works perfectly. profile= XBOX_360_For_Windows_(Controller) device= XBOX_360_For_Windows_(Controller) player= 1 number_of_buttons= 10 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= axis- 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 5 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 1 VPAD_THROW_BALL= not_assigned -1 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 10 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 9 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 9 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 1 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 10 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 5 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= axis+ 3 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= axis+ 3 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 6 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 3 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 5 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button

Hayman19
Ive got a question. Ive never had an xbox(only ps2) but if i were to go out and buy a 360 controller, does it come with an adapter for pc? I was also wondering about the normal xbox controller? Do they both come with the adapter or do i have to buy it seperate like the ps2 one? krawhitham
.....and avoid the trouble of changing to XBCD drivers everytime to want to fire up MVP 05. the XBCD drivers are better than those by Micro$oft and they work 100% with Madden too

I do not own a 360, but I believe the controllers are normal USB. No adapter required. And yes, I would use the XBCD drivers. Never had a problem with them (I use XBox S-Controller). jhoff80
and they work 100% with Madden too When I tried using the XBCD drivers with Madden 07, it didn't work right, and the icons for the receivers were numbers instead of the proper buttons. With the Microsoft drivers everything works fine, without having to be reconfigured, and most importantly, it shows the correct icons for each receiver. Has this changed in the past few days, because in general I prefer the XBCD drivers too, its just that for this game the MS ones work better. I get the same thing...Madden 07 does work with XBCD drivers, but YOU DONT' GET THE PASSING ICONS. This was the only reason I bought the 360 controller in the first place. It's the only gamepad that changes the passing icons. We could use a mod for either game. Either find a way to make the windows drivers vibrate in MVP, or make the XBCD drivers FULLY compatible with Madden. I installed the windows drivers...then the XBCD drivers and it worked perfectly with MVP. I then went into the registry and manually changed my pad name from 'XBCD Xbox Gamepad' to 'Windows Xbox 360 Gamepad (Controller)' or whatever it is, and it went back to the windows drivers, so maybe there's a way to make Madden 07 see the XBCD drivers as Windows drivers?
