I've noticed that is impossible to play recreating a pitcher like Randy Johnson or Billy Wagner... or Maddux on his best days. The game doesn't allow to create a pitcher with awesome control and hard to hit for HR. And the game doesn't allow to create a strikeout pitcher (with 12k per game)...

I mean... adjusting sliders and datafiles... I can create only one kind of those pitchers... because the total K's and HR can be modified... but that's not real. I need both kind of pitchers at the same time.

I need to know how to make this two kind of pitcher:

-Awesome Control. Good pitches. Fastball at 90mph. Hard to hit for HR.

-Normal control. Fastball at 100mph. Easy to hit for HR. Great in K/AB.

It should be possible. I mean ive made myself some pretty relistic sliders(in terms of runs/hrs/k/bb's/hits) and some days (i usually play with the jays) halladay can come out and be unhittable(allowing 1-3 hits some days) and recording large amounts of k's, and other games he gets killed by the long ball or allows many hits. Alot of times it matters on how comfortable you are with the pitchers delivery in game. For example someone like roy halladay is easier to hit the little green thing than(for me at least) randy johnson. Im sure you could just create a super pitcher with maxed out stats that would do what you want, but that wouldnt be very realistic.

Mmm... yes... I see your point... but in a season (36 games for a pitcher) it's imposible to do a kind of pitcher with lots of K's or somebody like Maddux. I know why it's impossible, because in the game, you cannot edit how good a pitcher is.

Things which would be really helpful to create a pitcher:

-K/9IP

-BB/9IP

-H/9IP

-Grounders%

-HR tendency

try MVPedit you can edit the stats with as well as you're control plus the -K/9IP, BB/9IP, H/9IP, Grounders%, HR tendency is all on the hitters side. In MVPedit you can enter a number (1-15) on how offen the better will take, miss, or chase fball, curves, and sliders, and if they will pull it, hit the other way or hit the middle and what % they hit a flyball grounder, liner, or HR.. there is a link in links if you want to give a try or look at it other then that I couldn't help you much other then just twink with the sliders

Nope... that's doesn't make the difference between those two kinds of pitchers.

The point is: THERE IS NO WAY TO CREATE A PITCHER WHO ALLOWS LOTS OF HR. AN STRIKEOUT PITCHER OR A CONTROL PITCHER.

I cannot create a pitcher like Maddux on his best years. Or like Randy Johnson or like Nolan Ryan... I mean...

In mvpedit all that you can edit for pitchers is pitches quality. And there's no way to modify ground/fly tendency or HR tendecy...

K's and BB really sucks, because with the control you give the pitcher more K but less BB...
