MaxAbbitt
The only games that I play on my PC are MVP 2005 and Madden 2007. I am currently using an a NVDIA GeForce 6100 (integrated). The games run "ok" with all the settings maxed out, but when I bump the resolution up to 1280 x 1024 things get a little choppy. My goal is to get both of my games to run butter smooth, or at least as smooth as they can on a budget. I really do not want want to spend more than $100. I found these two cards in that price range... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...3&Sku=P450-8576 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814131007 I am not super familiar with PC video cards, would those cards help me accomplish what I want to with my games? If you have an intergrated card I don't think you have a PCI express slot or AGP for that matter you might need a PCI graphics card but I could be wrong, try this it's pretty cheap and pretty good http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1130987912212
rowsdower37
A 6800 will pretty much eat up MVP 2005 regardless of what you throw you at it. I am currently running it on an X850 pro at 1280x1024 along with 16x af and 6x aa without a hitch, and you will probably see better performance out of a 6800, depending mostly on your processor speed, though I doubt yours would be much worse than my intel p4 2.6 gHz. Meanwhile, $100 is not a bad a price for a 6800, and I would not advise skimping on the extra 10 and opting for the x800. I am of course not familiar with your motherboard setup but you should be able to install a standalone card while running an integrated 6100. I am also not sure about your knowledge in this subject, so make sure you actually have a 16x pci-e slot and an adequate psu before doing anything rash. Indeed you do, and it looks like a video card upgrade will round out that system nicely, though any further performance issues, mainly hitches in gameplay, could be attributed to ram (can't imagine that being the case with MVP, though.) Yeah, I didn't have a whole lot to spend on a computer (work full time, go to college, and getting married in November), so I decided on something affordable at the time. The two things I wanted to updrage later were the video card and some extra RAM (to 2 GB).

MaxAbbitt
Here is another question, what will improve my game play the most...upgrading my GeForce 6100 or upgrading my ram (currently 512 mb)?
big shmooz
Probably the card. & yes, I am QUITE aware of it. You have to tread very lightly with your gal when it comes to planning a wedding. Also, I am only about 2 weeks away & am still looking for an apartment. (which is driving her nuts)
