houston34
And if you know batters that dont wear batting gloves please post also. I know v . Guerrero doesnt wear batting gloves. And if you know any notable batting equipment that i can add to make them more life like please post. If you know for sure about what color a pitchers glove is I can use that as well. sureshot25
everyone pretty much has correct wristbands, I won't bother getting into those. anyway, for the red sox: Pitching Beckett: low socks, black glove Delcarmen: either low or high socks, tan glove Dinardo: low socks, tan glove Foulke: low or regular socks, black glove Papelbon: I believe low socks, brown glove Schilling: regular socks, brown glove Tavarez: low socks, black glove Timlin: high socks, tan glove Clement: injured, but from what I last saw, black glove, low socks (I think he starts to wear them high through the season, example, 2005) Wakefield: low socks, black glove Lester: low socks, black glove Hitters Javy Lopez: low socks, black glove, black shin guard, black bat with brown handle Mirabelli: low socks, light brown bat, tan (or brown) glove, no batting gloves Varitek: high socks, brown glove, small elbow protector (only wears it when batting lefty), black shin guard, black bat with brown handle Cora: black glove, low (or high sometimes) socks, black bat with red handle Loretta: low socks, black glove, black shin guard, black bat Lowell: low or regular socks (still can't tell), brown glove, black shin guard, black bat with red handle Pedoria: low or regular socks (haven't noticed yet), brown glove, either brown or black bat, black shin guard C. Pena: low socks, black bat, black glove Youkilis: black glove (brown for OF), black bat, low socks, black shin guard, recently started wearing small elbow protector Crisp: black glove, low socks (high sometimes), black bat, no batting gloves Hinske: light brown bat, black shin guard, black glove for 1B, brown for OF Kapler: high or low socks (back & forth), black glove, black bat W. Pena: low socks, black glove and bat Manny: low socks, red glove, black bat Ortiz: low socks, mainly black bat with brown handle (red handle sometimes), black glove, small elbow protector Nixon: black glove, low or high socks (back and forth), light brown or black bat (back and forth) Gonzalez: black glove, black bat, low socks Stern: black glove, low socks, light brown bat
ronmexico
He stopped that, he didn't wear em when he came up from the right side of the plate, and that one time he faced Mariano Rivera. I would reccomend keeping them on for him.
TwentySeven
Coincidentally, all these guys don't wear gloves when hitting, cause they are saving them for the field. They all are damn good fielders. This is a bit off topic, but... Doug Mirabelli is hardly a gold glove catcher, he isn't very good. I will give you Varitek as a gold glove, but Mirabelli? No. Vladimir Guerrero is an awful fielder. He gets horrible jumps on balls and his arm is very inaccurate, just powerful. Coco Crisp is only OK range wise and he doesn't have a great arm. Granted, its better then Damon's, but then again, Damon is fifty times better offensively and defensively (apart from the arm). Sorry, off topic. ronmexico
Mirabelli doesn't have glove? How about the fact that he has less passed balls catching Wakefield all year, then Bard had in 5 games. He is a good defensive catcher too, just can't hit a lick. Cirsp is as good a fielder as Damon was just a much worse hitter also. For Guerrero, it doesn't matter that his arm is inaccurate, because as part of his defense, he keeps runners from running on him, out of fear of being gunned.
