Edam
I would strongly suggest that you poeple who are thinking of installing the Vista Beta, if you don't have a backup of your system, at least try the Vista Readiness test at PcPistop. http://www.pcpitstop.com/vistaready/default.asp Yes, Microsoft also has a test that you can download, but do you really want to take a test from the very people who are selling the OS? Nothing against Microsoft per se, but think about it. Also, I've been using PCs for many years, and have found that the "minimum requirements" listed for ANY software is always WAY below what is actually needed to run it at a decent level. And lastly, ALWAYS be cautious, and have backups, if you are going to install and run BETA software.
JoeyMcM93
Can't run the test. Apparently it's not compatible with IE7.
Mav3rek
make sure you have the active x plug in for the diagnostic tool installed. that was my problem. but i am also looking forward to a link, especially since that site said that I passed all tests! Jim825
whats the diff between 32 and 64 bit? The 64-bit version is for 64-bit CPU's (e.g. the AMD64). The majority of people have 32-bit CPU's in their PC's and will use the 32-bit version.

Mav3rek
I think I might do the same. Whenver I was downloading the 32 bit version, the download speed went all the way down to 1/kbs, and then to 0/kbs, so I just stopped it.
