TheProdigy
I don't know but the past year I've been able to watch every show on ESPN. Now, it's unwatchable, I only catch Baseball Tonight, here and than. Am I the only one, or is ESPN ridiculous now? I mean, T.O. this, T.O. that, Fantasy This, Fantasy That, ESPN Mobile This, ESPN Mobile That, T.O. this, and also T.O. that, always T.O. ... Is it me, am I hallucinating or am I normal. This T.O. coverage is absolutely nonsense, heck, they even compared Soriano's unwillingness to move to the outfield, saying Soriano is no T.O. It's absolutely ridiculous. I've lost my respect for that network. What's next? Who knows, but I'm pretty sure it'll involve T.O. :wall:

kgbaseball
I couldn't agree more. I've actually emailed ESPN twice telling them how absolutely NO ONE cares about watching T.O. pedaling on a damn stationary bike. Nobody cares about what Big Tuna thinks of him. Nobody cares about Pedro Gomez's infatuation with Barry Bonds, or Sal Paolantonio's attraction to one Mr. Terrell Owens. The only good things on ESPN now are the actual sports games. PTI is nothing without Kornheiser. Baseball Tonight took a big hit when Harold went down. I can't stand listening to Tino talk; it just makes me mad. Thank God the NFL, college football, and soon college basketball, is starting, so they can put as many games as possible on and get T.O.Center off the air. I agree about Baseball Tonight taking a hit when HR was canned, but it took a credibility hit quite a long time ago when Peter Gammons told me Kerry Wood and Mark Prior had good mechanics. JoeyMcM93
ESPN has become very dissappointing. I used to enjoy it, now I just watch it to stay updated on scores.
WHOELSE
I thought it was just me. I have been thinking the same thing for awhile. Information that noone cares about AND why must every broadcaster try and be so cool with all of the dumb a** sayings? ESPN has def taken several steps backwards!!! tebjr
ESPN started going downhill when Keith Olbermann left, and they put Stuart Scott on the air more. When BOO-YOW is the only word in your vocabulary, you don't need to be in front of the camera.
Friedman
ESPN has quickly become a joke in sports. It used to be one of my favorite TV channels, but now it has quickly become one of my least favorite channels. Sportscenter is terrible now, and the only times I watch it are when I go away on trips, and don't have internet access. Baseball Tonight is OK, but not as good as it used to be. ixcuincle
ESPN can be good at times i.e. when Jim Rome is on TV or play by play broadcasters Pam Ward / Ron Franklin / Bob Wishusen / Gary Thorne are on. ESPN has some of my favorite television play by play broadcasters (including Sunday Night Baseball radio man / ESPN Baseball pbp man Dan Shulman). I occasionally watch Sportscenter but I don't pay attention to their dialogue because I am usually multitasking so I don't care about Boo-Yow or any catchphrase. "Cool as the other side of a pillow" is an awfully weird catchphrase though , and should be removed from Sportscenter lingo ASAP.

kinghernandez
The only thing good associated with ESPN is ESPN Classics' "Cheap Seats" and "Stump the Schwab" ESPN semi-salvaged credibility when they showed Cheap Sheats marathons every week but that stopped and I don't watch at all anymore. ChicagoCubs720
ESPN fools its followers into thinking that they are getting expert analysis. They hype everything up and they get former players on their shows to make you think that you're getting a look further behind the scenes of the sport (ex. Tino Martinez on Baseball Tonight). Fact is, just because you played the sport, doesn't mean you know everything there is to know about the sport. If someone else could come along and takeover every sport like ESPN has done, except give some actual analysis instead of just hype, they would make millions.
