I'm so surprised to see how much the site has grown and continued to expand. Last time I was here, the Classics mod had just been released. Anyway, continued thanks to all the modders who give unselfishly of their time to make this great game even more amazing with the addition of all their artwork and and rosterwork. So, here's my question... if someone can help, great. If not, thanks anyway... I wanna get MVP 2005 running the MVP 2006 mod and running the most recent updates of stadiums, rosters, portraits, cyberfaces, etc. I tried adding downloads yesterday to my already 06 modded version on my PC, but there seems to be an order of operations of how to go about updating the game to not cause conflicts. Because now, I've got players with the wrong heads, uniforms with glitches, etc. Can someone tell me if there's an order to best add updates and other add-ons from a clean install of the game so that everything comes out correctly? I'm very involved in many online sports gaming communities so I understand and appreciate the importance of searching and going through posts before asking for help. But really... a one-word, point form, ordered list of things to download would have taken you less time to write than the reply you gave. And don't tell me about how much time it wastes to constantly answer the same questions over and over again. I agree when it comes to the guy who wants instructions for how to change music in his game or change ads in his stadiums. Those are answers that involve explicit details and explanations. Ultimately, this is supposed to be a forum for people to communicate and exchange ideas, questions, and answers. Your answer, while it made sense and you have every right to post what you like, was not the kind of answer I was expecting to what I think was a pretty harmless question. But, and I mean this in the nicest way possible,.... OH, COME ON!!!!!! "Must-get mods" is the easy, obvious, well-duhhh!!, search string that I absolutely should have known without having to ask for help?? I think I'm being pretty fair by saying... give me a break! Alright, that's cool. Thanks a million for the help; you rock. I do appreciate it! But, please!!! Someone out there!! Now, with that said, it looks as if you just everybody to show you to everything. Look in the download section, see what's there. Being that you want to download things, that would be the best place. tinpanalley Posted September 5, 2006 Author Share Posted September 5, 2006 I realize Im not gonna shake the image of "annoying person who just wants people to help him", but for what it's worth, I did do many searches in the forums, I did look extensively through the downloads. The main page of the MVP 06 mod says nothing about both versions, it only talks about the one that's available. And after even further searches through the forum there is not a single post that I can find that diretly talks about the best order in which to install updates, mods, graphics, portraits, etc. And yet, many mods say that they will only work properly with certain rosters, cybers, portaits, etc. So, I'm sorry if I find that all a little hard to get straight. I don't feel that I'm being "pushy". Pushy would be demanding help, being unappreciative of replies, and flaming people for not getting what I want. I am very appreciative as I've said before. I am tremendously appreciative of anyone who goes enormously out of their way to create (from scratch) updates for no charge for the enjoyment of others. And I know how much work it is, because I do it myself for other games. Anyway, no anger or anything on my part, I just like to be clear. And I didn't like the feeling that I was being treated like what many forum aficionados call "a noob". Take care, guys. Again, you've been a tremendous help. And I DO thank you. You will need to install the patches for the '06 mod, I believe. The Ultimate Rosters Plus editions will only work with Big Scmooz's models.big installed.
