abc006
News: Brian Cashman and Joe Torre die in freak accident; "abc006" to manage and General Manage Team Both Brian Cashman and Joe Torre died tragically in a freak accident yesterday, when a huge plastic Yankees Hat dropped on them, and immedately suffacted them, resulting in immediate death. "If both Joe and Brian had to go, this was the only way," said Yankee Owner George Steinbrenner, who, that same day, was injured by a gigantic metal yankee bat. He was in a cast when interviewed. "We're gonna announce the both manager and general manager of the team, abc006." The Yankees, who feature stars like Dontrelle Willis, Eric Gagne, Jermain Dye, and Ryan Howard, have nevertheless struggled mightly the last few seasons. "Hopefully abc can turn things around for this orginazation," said a Yankee scout. Opening Day is tommorow.
abc006
News: Yankees lose season opener, as Clemens outdeuls Willis, 4-1 Dontrelle Willis was only average in the Yankee's season opener, and average was not enough, as Roger Clemens gave up only 1 run in 8 innings of work. Willis got out of a jam early on, as he escaped a base-loaded nobody-out jam, but the A's eventually tacked on 4 runs. The hitting-hungry Yankees only scored one run, on an AJ Pierzynski solo HR in the 7th. abc006
Quarter Season Update It's been (roughly) a 1/4 of a season for the New York Yankees, and they are still managing to contend in a tough AL East. abc006
News: Half Season Update 1st half summary: The New York Yankees, under the reign of both GM and Manager, abc006, have slumped in the standings after a quick start. On May 9th, they were 18-12, but after a 6-8 stretch, they went on a 13 game losing streak, and have struggled since then. There have been some contrversial statements made by some team leaders, as Eric Gagne, the teams fireballing closer, was quoted that the teams performance was questioning his motivation. In response, the Yankees made a puzzling move, trading pinch-hitting veteran Ken Harvey for highly touted Celveland prospect, Angel Rumfield. The Yankees have noe plummeted in the standings, at a 40-48 record, and 14.5 games behind the AL East leading Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
