kinghernandez
I just bought season 3 on DVD and I have seen all the episodes and I have to say it is the funniest show I have ever seen. Does anyone know why it bombed so badly? Whenever I watch I laugh almost non stop.
dmoney206
Poor Ratings. Hope Arrested Development gets popular on the other networks and DVD sales go through the roof. Just like what happened to Family Guy, but Family Guy is much more popular than Arrested Development. I still keep my fingers cross for some network to pick up the show, but looks like it won't happen.
Homer
funniest show ever, and this is coming from an obvious simpsons fan. and if you really liked that show, you should check out last season's sons and daughters. wonder if it'll ever come back this season. angryrat
ive been told by several people that it failed because it was in the same time slot as Desperate Housewives.... sadly the public chose the latter of the two. Arrested Developement is amazing, and you brought a smile to my face seeing a thread about it on this site.
HCaray
Ok, so here's the thing...The show crashed because FOX failed to market it the way they should of. Fans of the show are absolutely die-hard about it. You'll never ask a person; "Do you like Arrested Development?" and have them say back; "It's okay." They either love it completely, or have never heard of it. An example of FOX's poor advertising attempt is displayed in an episode, during season 3, when the show opens in the standard; "And one of these people will die!" I even started a thread, trying to save the show some time ago. (I searched, and can not find it) Also... There is no chance of the show being picked up. The cast has decided, and rightfully so, that if they're not watching on one channel, they will not watch on another. Housewives had nothing to do with it. The show moved to different timeslots, and the results where the same. No one watched! I'm afraid that this is going to be a show that was, far far, ahead of it's time. There will be no Family Guy revival. The difference is that actors, who are put on screen, are paid more than those whom only use their voices. I'm confident that it will be copied by future producers, and future generations will finally get it. But as for us, we will rember that; "Illusions, illusions Michael. A trick is something a ***** does for money!" Thank god for DVD. "Come on!" -George Oscar Bluth(Gob)

cwjensen
Ok, if you want to talk tv and movies, what do you consider to be the better of the two "Poseidon" movies - the Gene Hackman version or the recent Kurt Russell version? What do you consider to the best baseball movie ever made? Who was your favorite character on "Gilligan's Island"?
kinghernandez
I guess if you don't watch all of them you don't get a lot of the inside jokes but the show is still funny. It rewarded viewers to watch every week. I was gald to see it come back on G4 though. I'll be watching tonight. I hope it's one of the many episodes with George Michael and the Star Wars tape. That cracked me up real bad. Yep, homer, I'm a Simpsons fan and I hope it isn't ruined by this movie coming next year.
kinghernandez
cwjensen1st, dude I don't have the paitence for you, there's no need to be a jackass. If you want to talk about MVP then go look in the many MVP forums that are placed here. Secondly, I just got that MarkB haha. If you fans want a good laugh then listen to "The Final Countdown" by Europe. You'll recognize it.

xiberger
Fellow AD fans, I'm having a bit of a problem here and I need your help. I've been watching the show online (through their MSN website) for weeks, but now all of a sudden I can't play the videos anymore. All I get are "loading..." and "Buffering video...please wait" messages, but the clips just never start. Could you please try to see if the site is working for you? Because I contacted the guys at MSN support and they're trying to tell me it's my computer that's causing the problems. However, I don't think so as I've already tried accessing the videos from different computers without success. Also, there's one clip that's still working (episode 15, "Staff Infection"), but only the first part. The rest seems to be gone. Here's the link to the website: http://arresteddevelopment.msn.com/ Thanks in advance! PS: AD rules! ;-)
