Problem when watching Cpu vs. Cpu.

Hello MvpMods!

I recently downloaded ultimate roster V 7.45 and decided to draft a team and watch all the games. Seeing as Im terrible at the game as I have to play with a keyboard, I usually do Cpu vs. Cpu. However, both teams usually get alot of hits and there are little to no strikeouts. Guys like Peavy, Liriano, Billingsley, and Hamels are getting an avg 2 K's per 9!

I remember a while back downloading a Datafile that added more spin to the balls and made more doubles, triples, etc. It also mentioned more ground ball singles through the hole and other common plays like that. One last thing I remember about the Datafile was that the author talked a lot about how he tried putting momentum into the game (Rallies arent killed 100% etc.). Im thinking this is the datafile because when I quicksim the game the outcome is much more realistic with more K's, less overall hits/runs, etc.

So what I guess Im trying to say is should I get a different datafile? Which one do you guys like the best? Thanks!

Ah - I found out which Datafile I had: "MD v3.1". It seems as if another person had trouble getting strikeouts as well. Is there any datafile out there that suits Cpu vs. Cpu well?

Update: I guess what Im trying to say is what datafile would be the most accurate to what a player's season production would be. I assume this would just be the original datafile because thats what the quick sim uses? Im probally way off on this.. someone please help :p

Hmm, I've done another couple Cpu Vs Cpu's and its not just low strikeouts high walks but high scoring games all the time.. Im completly lost and tried searching "Cpu Vs. Cpu" using the query and came up with nothing.

Yeah, I think it's just that during CPU vs. CPU, it just naturally high-scoring, free-swinging games, no matter what update or anything you have, although you could edit the sliders if you want to.

I use the following & my results are varying in scores, close-games, run-a-ways, low-medium-&-high K's & Walks.

Knowing that many factors influence what Sliders one should use even for CPU vs CPU games here are the ones I find provide fairly realistic results with the particular setup I play with:

Hmm, How do I edit "sliders"? Ill look around on the forum but feel free to answer cause I probally wont find it fast. Thanks!

Edit: And is this the Datafile I use with it? "KSM DATAFILE V4.599" Thats the most recent KSM I can find.

Within the game you go to "My Options" (I think or it maybe called My MVP) ..... it's on the Main Screen ........... afterwards you go to Game Play Tuning option ........... something similar to that as I don't have the game up and running to be more specific. Hunt & Peck & You'll come across it.

Alright as confirmation here is what Im running:

The sliders stecropper suggested

KMS Datafile V0.5 by KSMlover (*Is this the right datafile?*)

It's now better with more realistic gameplay. There seems to be an unusual amount of walks and pretty much each team is guarenteed 4 runs (Sample size just 10 though). *Am I running the wrong datafile?* Maybe I didnt install it right..

i think MD Data file works well for me, i getting more strikeouts and about an average of 4 walks agame, i seem to have a realistic style of cpu v cpu play, what you have to do is talk the cpu pitch control all the way up +50 cpu hitter contact -50 cpu ball rate around -35 and foul ball frequency all the way up +50 and also the cpu swing frequency take it down all the way to -50 and just start working you way back up with it. -50 with MD data file seemed to produce too many batter being called out on strikes. KSM data file may have a different effect on the sliders. Just as an example of what i started seeing im doin a dynasty with the whitesox and brandon mccarthy struck out 12 in one game, i ve seen a couple of shutouts and one almost no hitter. the only thing that im trying to work on is the extra base hits , i get a few two many of those for my taste, seeing about 9 per game. game score are average 3-1 8-2 or 7-6 with the occasional 13 or 14 run game. i should also mention that i watch cpu v cpu on mvp mode. oh and by the way My white sox won the division by 3 games over the twins even though the twin beat up on me the whole season 7-12 . i went into the playoff facing the Yankees after taking a 2-0 lead in the series the yanks came back to win the next 3. Randy Johnson struck out 13 in game 5 after getting rocked in game one. Kinda made me wonder if the big game brough out the best in him.
