kgbaseball
I wish I were a Miami native right about now. They've got a ton to be excited about for the end of this year and years down the road. Good for Anibal! Bad for the Red Sox who traded him, but that's a different discussion. :)

ixcuincle
same here...although it was the last out. The most amazing thing about this , was that this kid was just a 22-year old rookie. Congratulations...
TheProdigy
unbelievable ... The Marlins will be an NL East powerhouse, with Willis/Johnson/Olsen/Sanchez - that's a pretty good rotation. Luckily I was listening to the radio, I was playing MVP and when I heard about Anibal Sanchez close to it, I tuned into ESPN. Amazing, congratulations to Anibal, young talent ! evil1182
WOW that was awesome, the Marlins are going to be a big competitor in the east in the coming years, thats if they don't get rid of everyone again.

kgbaseball
They've got a few years before they dump everyone since their payroll is so low. Hopefully they will either move or have a new stadium to prevent that again.

DoubleD
That was a great game. They've got a few years before they dump everyone since their payroll is so low. Hopefully they will either move or have a new stadium to prevent that again. Every single player is on a 1 year contract. I'm 100% confident that Willis and Cabrera will stay and I don't think anything would happen with the others....but you never know. Seeing as the team isn't (hopefully) moving to San Antonio, Loria will be willing to spend money again. Although there is also still the cost of a local stadium, so he might still keep a sub-20 mil roster to afford that. Hopefully one will be built in the offseason and finally put all of that to rest. :?
