texo
Currently I am not using a modded data file, but the diving catches and other crap is getting annoying. I was wondering what is everyone's favorite data file to use. If you suggest one please give a link to it. Many of them seemed to be named similarly. Go Rangers! KerryW
here: http://www.mvpmods.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.p...file&id=826 THE BEST DAMN MOD ON THIS SITE!!!!!!!
Dead_Monkey_Z
Any RodData is great. I'd say vers 7 is probably the most popular. I've been using it since the beginning and I have no complaints. You'll also need to adjust your sliders. You can find Rod's datafiles here.
KerryW
Rolie's mod ALREADY INCLUDES Roddata 7 :? ...don't listen to DeadMonkey; he doesn't know what he's talking about... Roddata's datafiles have very crappy camera views, while Rolie's mod offers the best batting, pitching, and fielding views available, in addition to Roddata 7's physics.. Trust me, go with this datafile... http://www.mvpmods.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.p...file&id=
texo
I completely agree with you kkkerrywood34. i just installed the one you linked to and it is superb. i love the aerial fielding view because i do assisted fielding and it adds a relistic feel when you are batting because as a batter you can't see a zoomed image of an outfielder like you can on tv. this view shows the field at very wide angle much as you would see as the batter. Plus the batting views are wonderful, I like view one. No choppiness, well tweaked rod data 7, seems to need little slider adjustment at all and looks realistic in throws and pace, and games are evenly matched with little slider adjustment. this is just a fantastic mod, my fav so far. Go Rangers! They beat Oakland tonight!!!!!
brunnoce
i agree with you guyz too..but what sliders are you using?? for pro and allstar?? thanx
KerryW
You should experiment with what sliders work for you. Start a game and try changing the sliders during the game (go to Game OptionsGame Tuning) to suit your style of play.. My basic ones include: Allstar User Batting contact&power= 25 Cpu Batting contact= -25 Cpu Batting power=

Like I said, you should use what suits your style of play best.. I am pretty experienced playing MVP, so those settings are very comfortable for me. bjhess
Though I agree that this is easily the best environment I've played MVP in, I don't see a reduction in diving catches as the OP was requesting. Any chance that can be tweaked?
