Yankee4Life
Isn't it something how Mvp baseball can capture the personality of the player? Soriano is real life is a complainer, and selfish as anyone can be. It just makes sense to have this part of him portrayed in the game, and so realistically. Good job EA! Is he complaining about playing too much?? Has he been hurt at some point in the season? If a player has a MLB indispensible contract and they get hurt, they complain about playing time because they have missed some time. The only thing that you can do is to re-sign him to a different contract and see if that helps. But with Soriano, it will be tough to re-sin him to just an everyday contract. heathd521
I started a dynasty and Hideki Matsui played every inning of every game before going out with an injury, and when he game back I played him every inning of every game, and he's still unhappy with his playing time. pdub
I respond to players in this way - If a player complains about his performance or playing time, he's on the trade block immediately, or benched. If a player continues to complain, I drop him down a level in the farm system. I don't see many positive changes in happiness with this method, except when putting an unhappy player on the trade block, they somtimes get into the gray area. I've never noticed any changes in the players performance whether they were happy or sad, only with how I approach each player per at-bat. You can always use the dynasty importer/exporter and export your roster, then re-import it. Every player in the league will then be "yellow" happy. cybernetic
a lot of the time it's because they are batting too low in the lineup and want to bat in the middle or at the top.. sometimes it is because they are injured though which doesn't make much sense. Don
I always have pitchers in the A level who want a contract that will shoot them up right into the majors. :yernuts:
pdub
Yeah, I needed to fill a spot on my A squad because I only had 19 players, and most of the free agents wanted to be an MLB starter or AAA Ace - "Do you even realize you are on the F.A. and not getting paid?" MVPOAKAS
You can always give them 50,000,000 a year to make them happy.
JuUaAn
I think the thing is that if they get injured and are not put on the DL, then their happiness level degrades. Otherwise, if healthy, I like to move the player up in the batting order if possible. Bengie Molina complained a lot during the first half of my season but after i put him in the 5th slot and playing him every game he was ecstatic (green face) after the all-star break. I also noticed that if you sit out a regular for a week, they go unhappy and then it's hard to get them back to happy probably because they've missed so many ABs already. BigFreelFan
I respond to complaining kinda like pdub. Act quickly,or suffer the chemistry.
