The Great Nad
I have always had this problem but it's kind of getting annoying not being able to pick people off. All my top four buttons on my ps2 gamepad (using for my pc with psx adapter from radioshack) are miss configured. For instance, my L1 button is suppose to be the pick off button, but instead it's the bullpen and my L2 is the pitch history, my R1 does nothing and my R2 is fielders position. Does anyone know how to help me fix this? Thanks Nad :banghead:

Zephyr
Another question... is the the Radio Shack adaptor that we're supposed to get? http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...t%5Fid=26%2D304 It says "PSX to USB", not "PS2 to USB," though... Minnesota Twins
Yup thats it PSX ... X stands for whatever it works with 1 and 2 I am looking at it right now.. and even though I have a Wingman, which I love, I still wanted to get the PSX working... now about that RUMBLE :banghead: It's just not possible is it? I have been searching every MVP forumn and no one speaks of the rumble... it is key for players who play with out the cursor...
Zephyr
Well, I don't have it and don't know, but maybe it's because the Logitech Dual Action (which is what you're supposed to make the game think it is, right) doesn't have any rumble feature. You'd probably need to tell it that it's a controller type that does have rumble for the rumble to work.
jpup
you have to download the new drivers for the adaptor then it will rumble. i had to do the same.

The Big Unit
Hey Jpup. I use the Sony PS2 controller just like you (Dualshock 2) using the USB port. In the game it's the Logitech whatever. It's works. I tried your setup and everything is all screwy. Any ideas why? Like 4 seam fastball is the triangle, and all the base buttons are weird, and just everything is weird and way different than I'm used to. Any idea why? You said yours works fine, so I trust you cuz you're pretty well known but those buttons you assign are so weird for me. Could there be something wrong on my end that's making this work for you but not for me? Like when I want to throw to first, I go to the cicle, second is the triangle (Setup like the baseball diamond). L2, L1, R2, R1 are all goofy too I think. Your first base for me is up or down, and second is like the circle or something weird. Do I have something set up wrong here? I copied verbatim from your post into my controller.cfg I use the PS2 controller and this is my controller config. It may work with yours. profile= Logitech_Dual_Action device= Logitech_Dual_Action player= 1 number_of_buttons= 12 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CRICLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 11 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 12 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 3 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 3 VPAD_DEFENSIVE_ALIGNMENT_OPEN= button 11 VPAD_THROW_BALL= not_assigned -1 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 12 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 9 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 6 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 3 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 12 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 7 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 8 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 1 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 7 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button 8 VPAD_RUNNER_STOP_SELECTED= button 5 VPAD_RUNNER_STOP_ALL= button
