Tigers94
I read Watup's tut on GIMPTalk aboujt how to make your own grunge brushes and I came up with a way to make grunge backgrounds without using a single brush! Step 1 Make a new image whatever size you want with a white background. Step 2 Create a new layer, call it normal. Step 3 On layer normal,Go to Filters>Renders>Clouds>Plasma and keep clicking and unclicking on the random seed box until you get something you like, make sure turbulence is set to 7.0! Step 4 Go to Layers>Colors>Desaturate, click ok.Then merge down the layers and go to Tools>Color Tools>Colorize and play around with it until you get something you like. You have just made a grunge background without using a single brush!
Dom2662
pretty good. Read this one already though.
abc006
it's pretty useful, but it's worth the extra time to get the brushes, it just ends up with a much more authentic look. Still useful though, thanks.
