an index file to a cyberface, can someone just take a peek inside and tell me what is wrong with it?

I can give you the .ord, .orl, and the .fsh file and you can look at the index file inside of the .fsh file to see what in the world I am forgetting. I can't think of anything else to do to make this silly face work right. I have an '04 styled .bmp face but I know I'm forgetting something because the face is looking like it is wrapping around the whole head incorrectly when I look at it in game.

Did you update your roster with MVPEdit to add the face? If so, when you set the face number on the Appearance tab, did you set the "04 Face" variable to "Yes"?

If it is set to "No", you will get the wraparound face effect. This effect will also occur if you have an '05 style face and you have the variable set to "Yes".

Ok, then I've accidentilly done the opposite. I went to my attrib.dat file and the number is set to 1, which I thought was yes. I'll recheck the number though.

Rechecked. I tried it both ways tonight and no matter what it is set to I still get that half face look as if I never set it to an 04 face.

Think it is something in the index file?

I used an index file that was for an 04 face, to be honest. I used Tadano's index file but replaced his .bmp with someone else's .bmp file. Hmph. Anyone care?

Once again, cyberface .fsh files from MVP 2004 were 128x128, whereas those for 2005 are 128x256. So, I suppose index files for 2004 faces contain the wrong dimensions. Try extracting the .bmp itself and create a new 2005 .fsh file.

Please excuse me. I used an index file from an 05 face, Tadano, and inside of the index file it said 256x512 and Tadano's .bmp was that size as well. So that is the size I made this .bmp so that it would match the index file. Again, I mis typed. I used an index file from an 05 face, not 04 like I stated above.

I extracted files c0756 .ORD and .ORL. wich is Tadano, whatever the guys first name is.

I compressed both files and the fsh file.

I got a crash.

I don't know what I could be doing wrong. AT ALL.

Would someone be willing to install these files and seeing if they get the same, or, choosing an asian of your choice, taking his ord and orl file and putting it with the .fsh file and post your results? I'm at a loss, I really am. I've never had this issue except for when I didn't know who to install a cyberface. UncleMo is one dejected guy. Why again, do we mod?

Here is the actual .bmp

Ok, I'm not sure what the problem was, but I think I got one face to work. I chose an 04 face and used an 05 ord and orl file (matt morris? matt miller from cleveland?). Anyways, I used Kraw's installer thingee this time, and this time I did not use notepad to edit an index file. Hory claims notepad is of the devil so he uses something else called textpad I think. Anyway, I chose not to edit the index pad at all (not even to open it to take a peek). So, anyway, all in all here is an 04 generic face in 05.

Dumbo ears need to be fixed though.
