I'm not sure, I would think it was good to go but I think kraw is changing some internal hex ids for some players, I didn't think the hex ids made any difference... but he probably knows what he is doing.

The mini-game fix should now mean you won't have to add Reynolds anymore, (as long as Juan Mateo is not deleted)

By the way, at the same time as fixing up the roster set,

I changed the some of the team names in the rosters to match 2006 - ANA->LAA LA->LAD & Norwich Navigators->Defenders etc etc

I also added the 2006 W-L records for the minor league teams in tstat.dat too, I guess the MLB W-L records can be added come Monday

That's great news. You guys have done far more than I could wish for :)

I'll wait for an answer from kraw on the hex id thingy then. Got the day off from school today and tomorrow so I'm ready to start that plus edition whenever the situation calls for it.

I made this little program a while back that turns a standard roster into a plus roster but it needs the old IDs to work

So now I made a program than changes the IDs back so I can use my other program

I just got the new one working, damn I had problems for some reason. I'm now double checking to make sure I did not screw anything up

So far I've noticed two players named (Matt Elliott) playing for the same team (Lancaster JetHawks), but TG it is the same in the UR 8.0 beta

OK….horribly stupid question. But did this fix include a fix for the pitching meter? I could swear that it has moved since I installed it (in a good way…no more pitching meter getting overlapped by baserunner PIP).

I can fix the plus edition myself. You've already done so much :) . I'll try and have it up sometime tomorrow night...

I imported the .dat-files from Hory, created an mbe, exported the rosters and just simmed through a whole season without any problems.

I take it it's ok with you guys if I release the rosters again tomorrow?

you will have to import stats for the hist.dat file, about 2/3 of the roster

I have 17 of the 18 files re-ID'ed, scary thing is only those 8 pitchers are different than the beta you released, so what the hell was causing the freezing?

unless a BAD ID will cause it to freeze, and if that is true you would have to sim a few seasons after you add a new player

Yikes, that sounds far beyond my skills. I'll let you and Hory work your magic until you're done. I was just a little too excited there for a minute :?

Hory, were any pitchers edited?

I have 8 pitchers that are changed from the beta and the version you posted

I'm comparing the files to see if I can find was was causing the freezing

No, the only pitcher that was edited was Juan Mateo who had his hex id changed but nothing else

I guess if it is a 'bad id' of a particular player causing the freeze, a pitcher would explain the randomness of the freezing....

Whose career stats are missing in the fixed version I posted?

I checked a few players and they were all there..

edit - I just found players with missing stats, there's a lot missing

Using the RE-ID'd roster and hory's hist.dat (yes I know none of the IDs will match) it froze in April (2nd season)

So only thing left is a BAD ID causes the freezing

Which would mean every time you create a new player you need to test the roster

HEX ids

byte for byte the only difference between Hory's fixed roster and the one I was messing with is the HEX IDs. But my roster freezes and Hory's does not

You might have to make a slight adjustment to hist.dat, I messed up the roster for CHC-AA when doing the minigame fix on Juan Mateo so I have had to reimport the team, meaning 25 more hex ids have to be changed

I think Cliff Bartosh is the only player on that team with any career stats

just one person, totte can just import it with MVPedit use lahman's database

I noticed than the roster.dat has an extra player, it is in UR 8 beta too

0000007a6,0 0005975d0,1 0fff500b2,2 SP3,3 -1,4 SP3,5 9,6 SP3,7 -1,8 SP3,9 9,;

the player assigned ID 0fff500b2 is only listed in the roster.dat file. His team has 25 players listed in the roster.dat but only 24 show up in mvpedit (because there is no other info on him)

That's Juan Mateo on CHC-AA who I messed up when doing the minigame fix with him

Here's the rosters with CHC-AA roster fixed and the fixed hist.dat included and a minigame pitcher as a 'hidden' player not not on the FA list

Ok, so this is the one I should use as my standard from now on right?

When adding a new player to the D'backs organisation while removing one of the two Matt Elliotts, is there something I need to think about? Should I hit "Create" or add the new guy through a mep I have ready on my HD?
