Kccitystar
Most rosters are lame downloads, how many lame *** roster SAVs did this site have in 2004. These were in game edits, they were not even smart enough to use MVPedit. They finally stopped doing them after I went to each and everyone of their homes and asked them ever so nicely to stop waisting my GD time I'm telling you man, you are a legend. Trues
Wow!, thanks for your very valued input everyone. Going on what the many founders of this site have expressed, We'll keep MVPmods as it is. Thanks again.
MarkB
In all honesty, I really like this community as is, and I don't think bringing in guys (and girls) from NHL, NFL and NBA would do much for the state of MVP Baseball - it might just help it die quicker because there is more dilution of the subject matter, so to speak. Also, judging from some of the people I've seen come here from NHL, NBA and NFL modding communities, I'm not too sure it would be such a great idea. Of course, that doesn't classify the rest of the users of those communities as alike to these members, but it sure isn't a good sign, I'll say that much. fuzzone
Well, just to throw in my 2 cents: i think eventually there will be a decline on this site as all mvp baseball related sites. however, the formula for success usually involves specialization. People tend to go to a site that specializes in what they want. The sims have their own community, warcraft has it's own community and even though warcraft 3 and world of warcraft are similiar game, they have completely different communites and the sites in regard to both of them steer clear in both of them. so yeah, i think it might be a lose-lose situation but im only being realistic so don't take it the wrong way. PC baseball will one day be on the decline but trying to encompass a central modding place for a bunch of games is too much to develop a dedicated community as members will be too scattered according to their interests. just my point of view. D-Unit
Great way to put it Fuzz. I like the site the way it is now, it should stay as a website exclusively for MVP Baseball.
utahjazzno12fan
There could always be a sign-up fee for new users... and as far as a combined site, the better idea (in my opinion) would be good to have the separate sites for mvp, nba, nhl, etc., but to then have the other site as a combo site where mods are all saved, thus leaving mvpmods (and the counterparts) as a separate community (especially in forums)
SwinginSoriano
A signup fee would be a bad idea, as it would make people pay for things that have to do with Major League Baseball. A copyright firestorm could be a result. Donations, aren't really selling a service unlike compulsory user fees.
Hoop27
would this be overly simplistic? Just have a main page called EA mods or whatever. with 4 big tabs on it one for mvp one for nhl one for madden one for nba etc etc.. these tabs would link to the sites as they are now. so you click the mvp tab you come here. you click the madden tab you go to the madden-mods site. etc etc. the reason im thinking of this is we can still log into say mvpmods as normal but it might encourage new people that for instance may only be interested in madden to check this out as well since the tabs are right there. Again, I would never be nearly as involved in all this if not it was free.
