ronmexico
I will redo some things, and I should have a new release by next week,(Mondayish, maybe earlier if your lucky) unless I get a lot of homework, which I doubt, being a senior in high school, that shouldn't be expected. Look for a version higher then 5.1, and that means its good to go. If you want, use this one for now, and it'll be a different game.
JoeyMcM93
I really dont liek deep dynastys because all the young pitcher have fastballs that reach 100 MPH I completely agree. The pitchers become rediculous in later years. I once had a guy who's change was 86 MPH and his fastball 84 MPH. :wtf: I only go about 3, then get bored. I like to see the talent develop, but after a while it gets borring.
Big_papi10
I am currently on my 13th season with dodgers. Thinking about starting a new dynasty because all the good players are retiring

michaeljjt
I play just one season. But I play all 162 games, no sims. I usually play 5-10 games per week....so it can take me a good long while to finish a season. And by that point, after all those games, plus playoffs (and not counting the 3 seasons I started and re-started because I was experimenting with a datafile or sliders or something like that) Ive played so many games Im usually sick of it for a decent amount of time :)

I play only one season and than I quit and start with some other team. I play all 162 games + playoffs ( I do Not stimulate any games). I usually play like 2 or 3 games per day. I kind of force my self to play thru entire season becasue I only finished one entire season with red sox. I would usually start with one team and play few games and than I would quit. One of the reasons I wanted to finish the entire season and win the world series is to see the celebration and the ending.

UncleMo
like the one that came out awhile ago that never really got updated. i've been thinking about editing my own game to match what that file did, not all of what it had, but some of it, because it added enjoyment to the game with terms like "designate for assignment" and just little changes like that. What does this mean???? Speak slowly, too, I'm pretty dumb. Does this have anything to do with the .loc files, and if so, what all is in those files to mod? Does this have anything to do with the .loc files, and if so, what all is in those files to mod? http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Down...details&id=2385 Owner Mode Overhaul What it really is is just new .loc files that change words in the game. Instead of seeing "Release player" you'll see "Designate for Assignment". I haven't used it since I was playing the original MVP 05 version, before the beta 06, but it was pretty cool. It changes a lot more things in owner mode, but if you play dynasty it still changes things that matter. I forget what it changes to in contracts exactly, but instead of the word "situational" it will say "platoon" or something like that. To sum it up, it's simply a text update that makes the game sound a bit more major league. Also rewords the scouting reports. You kind of have to play along a bit because he didn't reprogram the game, he just changed some text, but I liked it.
UncleMo
good enough. Thanks so much.
Mav3rek
instead of starting completely over again, why not just use the team change tool and switch to a team that's struggling and try and rebuild them?
rolliefingers08
my guess would be because most people like to play with their favourite teams... or also because they don't want to clean up a mess the computer created.
UncleMo
I want to trade Atlanta's current talent is why, and the challenge of finding minor league talent to trade for is difficult since the marlins pretty much called everyone else up. ronmexico
That's like Tom Glavine right now. When has Tom Glavine hit 86 this year.
ronmexico
Yall who want my newly updated mod, its up and running. It's better, cause the draft talent is much more realistic then my last one, and much much more realistic then the stock one.
AstroEric
To answer the question in the subject line, the farthest I've gotten is a few weeks past the All-Star game. I'm going to start an off-season dynasty and sim a few games, I think.
evil1182
I just play one dynasty I like to be different teams, I already played one with TB and now I got one with the Mets, I hope I finish it before I unistall it when baseball season ends. UncleMo
Looking forward to using evil's 50 game schedule. I've been waiting for this for a long time. Now I'm going to play every season, in a pseudo way.

ronmexico
The 50 game schedule does sound like a good solution to everyone who only plays 1 or 2 seasons. I personally haven't tried it cause I like to play a lot of years, which is why I fixed the progressions, but for all those who play 1 162 game season, I think our 2 mods can go hand in hand with each other quite nicely. MarlinsMS_35
In MVP 2004 I went 25 once, but then I deleted it because everything started to go downhill. In NHL though I went the full way once. It was over a year time-span.
ronmexico
When this thread started I thought I was gonna hear of stories of how someone once went all 120 years, but instead this has turned into tales of impatience instead. It's taken quite a turn.
