SeanRobinson
First--yes, I searched the forum first. As I have a different video card, however, the solutions I've found don't help. If I missed something, please bear with me. OK. So I've just done a fresh install after a computer crash. On the previous install, I was able to run as 'Player detail level = HIGH' with no problems whatsoever. Now player detail level is blacked out at LOW and I can't change it. I have a Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family, with the proper drivers, etc. I know it should be working, as (again) it worked before. I'd appreciate help, as it's not terribly exciting to play with four/six-eyed players.
spitoon
I'd suggest looking for an updated video driver for that intel chip. Here is one dated 8/24/06....very new. Beyond that, you might have luck searching for (and using) 3D Analyze, it has helped many people with integrated/mobile video. I can't offer any help on it since I've never used it myself. jhath
My Player Detail is stuck on "Low" and won't change. How do I fix this? 1. Download 3d analyze v2.0, which you can get here Note: You MUST use version 2.0. The others do not work for MVP. 2. Open the program, and select the mvp.exe (Default location is C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005), and look for Misc on the right side and where it says "countdown for disable rendering/disable state swiches in seconds" and input "0" in. 3. Run the game from 3d analyze. 4. In the in-game option menu, make sure helmet reflections are off. It wont work unless they are off. Finally, here is a screenshot of what it should look like. 5. Now, back in 3d analyze, feel free to select other options to improve gameplay. There is an option to "remove stuttering/studdering" but some users found subsequent gameplay to be too fast. Experiemnt with different configurations to find what works best for you.
SeanRobinson
Thanks--from reading other posts, I thought 3DAnalyze only works with GeForce cards?
SeanRobinson
OK, I followed the instructions exactly--didn't work.
SeanRobinson
Also tried downloading the driver--said something about it not being validated for this computer.

I've got a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440. Followed your instructions and the graphics are great. However, when pitching/batting, the game is a bit choppy. Just slightly. Have any idea which setting fixes that?
jhath
check step 5... basically, just play a round with it and see whats works for ya...
SeanRobinson
Yeah--I downloaded version 2.0 and everything looks as it should from the screenie. I load the game from 3DAnalyze and switch batting helmet reflections to OFF, but player detail level is still grayed out. Do I need a fresh install? jhath
did you set the countdown to 0?
SeanRobinson
Yep. Man, I'm massively confused--I know this should be working.
liljimi
i`m using 3d analyze but i`m using 10 as the countdown seems to work for me and you might want to check you directx to see if agp acceleration is enabled, also you might have to install an agp driver for your video card.
