JoeyMcM93
Most if not all of the downloads have a readme file included which gives very good directions. This of course, after you extract the file using WinRar or WinZip.

Kccitystar
there are other alternatives to winzip such as winRAR, and usually you have to extract those files out
kaplerisking
you don't need to buy winzip or winrar or any other extraction program, most of them can be found for free on the internet. Try downloads.com if nothing else. And do not save the files under your database folder in MVP, that is a very specific folder where only certain things belong, so save to your desktop, open it up, and follow the directions in the readme. kaplerisking
Send me a PM and I'll be glad to help you, as I felt the way you do when I first started using mods as well. I won't be able to respond until tomorrow night though (don't know where you are but its past midnight here and I'm going to bed and I'm busy during the day so I won't have time to respond).
