turma
I edited Roy Halladay's skills to give him a 200mph fastball, 180mph 2seamer, 180 mph cutter, 150 mph curveball and a 180 mph sinker. Here is ho I managed to bat with Jorge Posada and Robinson Cano: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHne9PHvSZ0 I also did the same thing with pitching, it wasn't as fun as I expected, jut because the catcher doesn't catch the pitches, they either go past or through him and there is no possibility of a strikeout. I thought it would be more fun

turma
Here's part two, I tried to strike out Johnny Damon. The first pitch is a 2fb, second one a cutter, third one a 4fb and the last one is a sinker. As you can see the poor catcher hasn't got quick enough reflexes :toothless: also you get to see a bad throw by Zaun hehe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DAn85LkuLM

Myztery
You need to keep one of his pitches regular so you can use it as a strikeout pitch and the catcher won't miss it...

turma
Ok, more stuff. Wakefield owns Jose Reyes Pedro with a wicked curveball Now I got interested in this, I'd like to create a superhuman pitcher and start a dynasty. As you can see in the videos, a 114mph pitch is something the catcher is available to catch. What I'd like to figure out now is what are the fastest and slowest pitches a catcher is capable of catching, if someone knows, please let me know. Tywiggins already stated that 127mph was a pretty sure maximum. I gave Pedro a 30mph changeup and Wakefield a 30mph knuckler, they both had insane movement, went at least 10 feet up, but dropped before the plate and therefore became wild pitches, runners advanced. What would the superhuman pitcher be like? I thought something like this: 4FB - Max speed 2FB - Max speed Cutter - Max speed Curve - Normal, max movement Changeup - Min speed One thing I have to keep in mind is that the pitcher-batter interface is pretty much scripted so the batters don't really have a difference in reaction times whether the pitch is edited 100 or 200 mph. turma
The maximum pitch speed seems to be 114mph when edited with notepad. When I put velocity as 115, it was a wild pitch when pitched with full effectiveness. I tried to bat against Pedro Martinez with a 115mph 4fb, 114mph 2fb cut crv and a 35mph circlechange my god it was vicious, I managed to hit only changeups but after 3-4 heaters the changeup fooled pretty badly, althought it went about 10 feet high. I'll probably create a pitcher with a 114mph heater, 100mph moving fastball, 85mph curve and a 50 mph changeup that should cause some timing problems.
