The recent NHL series hasn't been all that good as they concentrate on the console versions and port to PC, resulting in a very clunky interface. The depth of it hasn't changed much either. NBA is a bit better. I've never played Madden. The only other awesome game is NHL 93 also called NHL Hockey I believe.
