DustinTheWin
So i was inspired by madden's nfl icon and i thought how to maybe do that in mvp baseball and i thought just putting it in the portraits would be easy, so here is what i got for my "MLB Icon." I can release the .psd of the icon if people are interested and want to put it in their portraits

Tigers94
i am going to try to stay away from rookie successes Red Sox Ortiz Manny Schil Beckett Papelbon Rookie luck there or is it cause you're a Sox fan? Tigers: Maybe Magglio?
Zach
no Ryan Howard on the Phillies? Christ, he is in the running for NL mvp, I don't think that can be contributed to luck.
pistonj92
Red Sox Ortiz Manny Schil Beckett Papelbon Yeah I think redsx is more biased than Bill O'Reilly judging a pie eating contest between Howard Stern and Dick Cheney. Rookie luck there or is it cause you're a Sox fan? Tigers: Maybe Magglio?
8ball
Brewers should have Prince Fielder.
ronmexico
redsx2434 are you gonna put up Hanley Ramirez? I thought you said you were gonna stay away from rookie successes. Can we get a little outta him? Also, maybe Delgado? 38 homeruns ain't nothing to sneeze at.

pistonj92
This is my revised, unbiased version because I don't think just guys shouting out 4 of their favorite players from their favorite team will help so here you go. A's Zito Thomas? maybe Angels Vlad F-Rod Astros Oswalt Clemens Blue Jays Vernon Wells Roy Halladay Braves Andruw Jones Smoltz Brewers none i would consider icons either Cardinals Pujols Cubs Derek Lee Prior DBacks Webb Devil Rays Crawford Kazmir Dodgers Nomar Penny Giants Bonds Schmidt Indians Hafner Sabathia M's Ichiro Marlins DTrain Mets Wright Reyes Beltran Pedro Nats Soriano O's Tejada Padres Peavy Phillies Rollins Howard Pirates Bay Rangers Carlos Lee Teixara Red Sox Ortiz Manny Schil (that's sorta' pushing it) Reds Adam Dunn Griff Rockies Helton Royals Mike Sweeney Tigers Pudge Twins Santana Morneau Mauer White Sox Thome Dye Yankees Jeter ARod Rivera

closetogenius
Berkman's a MVP candate i don't see how he can't be considered why not just go with the top 5 in the six triple crown categories? including ties and hope that spread the distinctions among teams, or by league

Guest
Guys, not every team needs to hvae icons. In madden, only the top players get the icon on their portrait. Todd helton? He's barely hitting over 15 HRs.. not so icon-ic.
RaptorQuiz
I don't think people are grasping what "icon" should really mean. These are more than all-stars. More than MVP's. There should probably only be 10 or 20 in all of MLB. Not just people who have been good for a couple years, etc. We're talking people that are true ICONS of the game. People that without, baseball wouldn't be the same. People who have redefined how the game is played. People who when their name is spoken - even people who don't follow baseball - they know who you're talking about. Clemens. Pujols. Bonds. Rivera. People like that. closetogenius
Martinez, Oswalt, Maddux, Clemens, Santana, Johnson, Schilling, Mussina, Hoffman, Rivera Helton, Pujols, Suzuki, Guerrero, Garciaparra, Bonds, Griffey, Thomas, Ramirez, ARod, Berkman, Lofton went by career leaders in wins, era, so, sv; avg, hr, rbi, slg, SB jeter is probably a must, and as much as i agree biggio is iconic, i doubt i'll see more support for his leading number of at-bats and HBP
