black_coyote
Hi. I've been playing MVP baseball 2005 on this computer many times without any problems. I recently re-installed the game and downloaded the exact same mods. (i've also tried reinstalling the game again and tried without mods) After I play the game and exit the game, and do something else and then run the game again, the typical error message pops up (mvp2005.exe ecountered a problem...., the send an error report window). Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Any ideas? Thanks in advance I get a similar message. Except it pops up for me as soon as I return to the desktop, i just click 'dont send', my screen goes black for about 2 seconds then everything is back to normal. It doesnt seem to affect my computer or damage it so I live with it

UncleMo
you get to play your games but get error messages? there's no crashing or anything to where you can't save your game?
biker_jim_uk
Mo, the crash msg appears on exiting the game. It has happened occasionally for me too.
black_coyote
ya..once i exit the game, i can never play again until i restart my computer. It says mvp2005.exe ecountered a problem and gives the send error report message. My game also crashes when I go to edit some players, if that has any connection. AstroEric
Weird. When I exit the game, the fans all stand up and cheer for me until I come back out of the clubhouse and tip my cap. Just kidding. Whenever I've had this problem, it's been because I didn't have some file compressed properly.
ronmexico
Try going into task manager after exiting, and looking for mvp2005.exe in processes. If it's still there then that means that it can't open another one cause it can't have 2 open at a time. If that is the case, close the one in task manager and continue playing like 2 6 year olds with a jump rope and an imagination.
black_coyote
No..I even tried running the game and then go to processes and end process tree for mvp2005.exe Well, its not such a big problem after all (hey at least it works), although it causes quite a discomfort and i would love to fix it
UncleMo
My game also crashes when I go to edit some players, if that has any connection. I was having this same problem only because some of my players faces were incorrectly installed. This part of the problem can be fixed if you take note which player faces cause the crash then you can install those same faces, compressed, and then they should work fine. WinnieThaPujols
I'm having this same problem, and it's incredibly annoying. Here's what happens: On start-up, you can play the game just fine... but after you exit the program, something goes wrong. If you try and start MVP again, it crashes. Basically what this boils down to is this: you can run MVP baseball ONCE PER restart. For example, if you're messing around with a mod, you often-times can't edit the game while the program is open. So I'll make a change, start the game, test it... quit... and then I'll have to restart the whole computer before I can make any changes! Typically what I've been doing is just minimizing MVP and keeping it open... always. But sometimes I just insinctively exit out and I'm screwed. This really wasn't a big deal until I started messing around with mods. Now it's driving me nuts! And PS: the crash is completely unrelated to the modding. At least anything I'VE changed. I know this because it was crashing before I started editing stuff... In fact, I remember it doing this on other versions of the MVP 06 mod... lyon810
Like I said earlier, I always get the crash message after I exit the game, but for the first time just now, I was in the 6th inning vs the Braves and killing them, and out of nowhere the message popped up and the game crashed. Has never happened before. Could it be something in the UR 7.5???
MagicHands8686
I used to have this same problem. What I did to fix it was eject the CD after I closed MVP and then reinserted it before trying to play again.

What I did to fix it was eject the CD after I closed MVP and then reinserted it before trying to play again. Wow, you're awesome. I'm actually using a mini-disk. I just unmounted and re-mounted and it worked! You rock.

abc006
you know, when a message pops up and asks you wether you want to send the error report or not, if you send it it's not gonig to hurt, it helps microsoft study what went wrong so windows xp2030 will be better. and sometimes it gives you a link where most of the time the explanations don't help you a bit, but sometimes it might help you solve the problem. cruecu
Now I'm getting this problem. I've never had any issues before with the '06 mod beta. I had a ton of mods added to it. No crashes ever. Then I did a clean XP re-install, an MVP and 06 mod final install, ronmexico's progression mod, and kg's newest rosters. I'm using shmooz's lite models.big from mid-november (the latest one I think). I can't figure it out. I don't edit anything, so I'm not sure where the problem is. It's killing me not being able to play a dynasty. PLEASE HELP!!!
