Wolverineman
The stickied thread seemed to be about getting the controller to work in the first place, so I didn't feel it'd fit there. Basically, I've had a Logitech Dual Action for awhile. Its always worked fine, not a problem. About a week ago I was playing and I wasn't able to move the pitch cursor below the strike zone. I thought this was odd, went into the game controllers thing in control panel and was messing around with the test thing in there. I could see when I moved the left joystick down, it'd go down about half way or a little more, and when I moved left and right while holding down it'd go accross in a zig-zaggy line. At times it'd move all the way down for a second but it seemed to be steady a bit further than halfway down from the center. I thought it was odd so I stopped playing and the next day the control worked perfectly fine and has for a week. Last night and today is been doing it again. I downloaded some updated thing on Logitech's site and it didn't help. I've heard many people complain about Logitech's controllers not exactly being the most durable so I kind of expected this. However, is there anything I can do to fix this problem? If not, I can switch the left and right analog sticks and just try to get used to it that way, which will take awhile. flash0788
I had a Logitech gamepad that worked great for about 6 months and then all the sudden it starting doing the same thing yours is doing after I plugged into a different USB port. Wierd but true. If you unplug it and plug it back in while still in the game it seems to go away for a while. I just gave in and spent the $20 or so and got a Saitek P880. Haven't had a bit of problem since.
KronicJaY
so the logitech will always do that? real shitty and you say the Saitek P880 is the best ?
Dead_Monkey_Z
and you say the Saitek P880 is the best ? Second to a PS2 pad IMO. The Dual Action is known to have the analog stick crap out on it after a couple months. The sad thing is Logitech has known about the problem for a long time now and has done nothing to improve it. spitoon
so the logitech will always do that? real shitty and you say the Saitek P880 is the best ? Yes, pretty shitty....I had my Logitech for around a week...did a search on the internet and found many people with "calibration problems" on Logitechs....even worse is that I found many of the complaints on a board right at Logitech.com...so Logitech knows about the problem but isn't doing anything about it...I returned mine for a Thrustmaster and love it. RAM
yeah i was another logitech sucker as well, worked about 2 months. throw it away and get the saitek, or a ps controller. i personally use the saitek, works great. chalk it all up to experience. spitoon
I didn't want a Logitech to start with...I've had problems in the past and have never liked the brand. I needed a dual analog specifically for MVP 2004 and when I went to look at them there were only a few options and the salesman did a great job in convincing me, against my better judgement, to get the Logitech one....should have trusted my instincts...at least I was able to exchange it. KronicJaY
so theres no way of fixing that logitech bug? cuz i just purchased one after throwing my thrustmaster at the wall because the damn thing would not run in the outfield if its lie depended on it, well it did depend on it and now the damn thing is smashed to pieces and long gone in the trash and now i'm stuck with this logitech wingman rumblepad thinking it was going to be amazing because ea said it recommends it in the controller fix

EDIT: Here is one. EDIT: And another...The link in this one is directly to the new driver...
KerryW
I have the EXACT same issue, but with a Gravis Eliminator Aftershock. I tried installing different USB drivers for my mobo, but this problem won't go away..so for now I'm stuck with my Gamepad pro USB.
yankees1979
ive had the logitech dual action since april. so far so good. knock on wood. i have been thinking about getting the usb adapter for my ps2 controller though. i like the directional pad on that better plus its more comfortable.
