ronmexico
Correct, cause your dynasty file, or owner mode file works like this. To make that one file, it combines all the files, like progress.big, and attrib.dat. Then to maintain all the default rosters you have set within that, and not make any changes the actual actual attrib.dat file, it edits the one in the dynasty file. It's like compressing those files into 1 rar so that way those do not get tampered with. In short, start a new dynasty/owner mode to see the changes in effect. Totte
Thanks ron, I'll try it out tonight when I get home from school :wtg:
UncleMo
I downloaded Totte's files, and I realized this is what I already have, only slightly more updated. I'll tell you what the problem is...The file has issues reading it in excel because of some autotab kinda thing in excel, so when you resave it, you have to put it as in the original formatting. Honestly, it's not a matter of cracking it, it's a matter of doing it. I didn't do it because I felt that it was a waste of my time, cause I never had major issues with the way that players demand $$$. I'll do it, cause I love the community. I knew how to do it, and if anyone really wants to know how (though I will take care of it by tonight) feel free to PM me. EDIT: Problem found Umm, Totte, I just realized that your problem is that you have commas in there. Like in the colums it says "133.333,". The commas are implied between boxes in the CSV file. SUPER EDIT: BETA testing time. Gonna make sure I don't have the same glitches as Totte, and that I have the desired results. If it all goes well, you guys should have my progression mod soon, with this file included... 3rd EDIT: I have pitchers asking for a lot less, what it is, I changed the acceptable amount. For players 18-24, I changed the amount the original asking for, and made it less, and also the amount they are willing to accept. For players 18-29 I adjusted how much they will find acceptable only. This means, you can negotiate more with them, play a little hardball. I will put it up as Ron Mexico's Progression Mod v5.5 I believe, and you download that, and your contracts are more updated then they were when I released it originally. I think that it is well done, but what the hey, go try it out for yourself. The contracts are down to about 400K for a AA pitcher, and about 600-700 K for a AAA pitcher (3 stars for both, about 75% per star going down between 1-3 stars). Position players ask for less natively, so I couldn't really do anything about that, the game just rates pitching over position players (as it should be...). GO METS! 4th EDIT: OK Done, Up, and ready for download. Try it out, gimme suggestions for money matters if you have any. 2 questions, one out of curiosity. Are there commas in the default file? <---- Curious question. When you said The contracts are down to about 400K for a AA pitcher, and about 600-700 K for a AAA pitcher (3 stars for both, about 75% per star going down between 1-3 stars). Are we not still allowing too much $ for both AA and AAA players? I'm just thinking about a 4 star player like Jeff Francouer and how he is only at 300k, and was making that much in the minors. Or, would you say that you make it so that the 600-700k type of players are 3 star guys who stayed in the minors into their late 20s? Maybe I need to shut up and take a quick look at the uploaded file actually. Of course, I realize this after typing this stuff.
ronmexico
It's called a csv file because there are comas between every value. It would look something like this if you opened it up in wordpad you would see. Age, Star level, Asking Price, Agreement Price 18,4,133.3333,100 Age, Star level, Asking Price, Agreement Price 18,,4,133.3333,100 Since the 2nd column is blank, it will ask for 0 years, since it is null. Also, 3 star players makes a differnet amount based on his age. A 18 year old makes less then a 22 year old, in negotiations. If you look at Totte's file it goes something like this... keith0156
quick question, if i already started a dynasty, can i then download the file and see the effect, or i will need to start a new dynasty for it to have the effect?
