We don't know what manager Frank Robinson will do with the team, but we can imagine. Our Nationals were one of the better teams last season finishing 81-81. It was our inaugural season here in Washinton and we finished .500.

In spring training these boys looked like they had room to improve finishing worst in the Grapefruit League with a 9-23 record.

Tomorrow Frank Robinson will announce the lineups and I hope that these guys will forget about some League named after citrus and start thinking about the regular season.

Long story. Check my last post of the old dynasty.

The Nationals latest deals goes as follows:

WSH Recieves:

SP Orlando Hernandez

RP Billy Wagner

SP Blake McGinley

NYM Recieves:

SP Zach Day

SS Christian Guzman

SP Ryan Drese

____________________________________________________________

WAS Recieves:

SP Jason Johnson

CIN Recieves :

RF Jose Guillen

Manager Frank Robinson said of the trade,

" I was talking to Mr. Bowden about making a deal happen. I really don't think Chad [Cordero] should have the pressure of being a closer when he is this young. He will definately be closer in the near future, but not this year. We needed two more strong starters to join our staff and make it reliable"

Yeah. I know but I didn't want to be stiffed(no pun intended) by salary and I was going to go with E.Milton but I didn't want to pay that kind of money.

Dom, I will bring up some hitters very soon.

Wow. I guess Jim Bowden is bored of sitting in his office playing "pocket pool" and wants to make trades. This time he made one 5 hours before the season opener. Here we go again...

WAS Recieves

SS Omar Infante

RF Alexis Gomez

DET Recieves

RP Jon Rauch

RP Micah Bowie

The lineup will look like this

mvp20052006101816364359eh6.png

The pitching staff will look like this

(I think you know who the closer is)

Mr. Bowden said about the trade,"I know everyone thinks I'm nuts for making so many trades but I am just trying to field the best team for Frank [Robinson]. This however will be my last trade untill around the trade deadline."
