I have a reason to live again. I remove all the fans at Shibe-it is the only way it works for me.

lol - I'm glad you enjoy it as much as I do. :D

two questions:

1. how do you remove the fans?

2. have you tried it at any other parks or have any reason to believe it wouldn't work elsewhere? sometimes i think that i'd rather have the stadium empty than look at the crappy fan-job EA did...

It is in the game options under display options I believe-it has a place for fans-yes or no, but the stadium has to load first to do this-if it isnt loading at all then I dont have an answer for that.

Pool 3, Round 3

Gullett Outduels Clemens 1-0 In Rain Shortened Game

With clouds hovering ominously, fans frantically searched for their seats in anticipation of a true classic

matchup. The early innings went by quickly as both pitchers were on fire, allowing just a few random

hits each through four innings.

In the bottom of the fifth, with more clouds coming to see the affair, the first - and only - mistake was

made. With Pete Rose at the plate, Roger Clemens hung a 2-0 curveball letter high that Rose deposit-

ed high up in the jet stream.

Almost on cue, the rain started to fall. Wanting to see the game through, the umpires waited as long

as they could until a downpour started in the seventh inning. When Tino Martinez "grounded" out to

the catcher to end the top of the seventh (the ball stuck in the mud in front of home plate), it was ob-

vious that the game needed to be stopped.

After two hours passed, with only a few fans left in the stands, the game was officially called, giving

Cincinnati the 1-0 victory and a birth in Pool 3's Final Four.

The Yankees, like Tino Martinez in the first inning, were a step behind the Expos all game as they

were out-hit 16-2 today in a 5-1 loss.

Dammit! :thunder:

Don't worry, no crash problems. But this was a great game with a great finish (Hory and Trues won't like it) and I screwed up when extracting the box score. So the recap isn't going to be as good as I hoped.

I'll do my best though :D

schxz5.png

The Cubs picked up one more run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Harry Steinfeldt, scoring Frank

Chance (pictured) to tie the game 2-2.

clagy2.png

It looked as if the game would go into extra innings until Chicago decided to lift Mordecai Brown with

one out in the eighth. Reliever Andy Coakley was brought in and immediately surrendered a home run

to Fred Clarke (pictured) for a 3-2 Pittsburgh lead. The next batter, Honus Wagner, doubled to left

center before being driven in by Dots Miller. Having given up three straight hits, Coakley allowed an-

other single to the fourth batter he faced, Chief Wilson.

abgf8.png

With runners now on first and second, Bill Abstein was next in line. Abstein didn't waste time in add-

ing to Coakley's misery, blasting the first pitch for a three run shot to left for a 7-2 Pirate lead. Coakley

fos2og6.png

George Foster and the Reds were a step ahead of the Crawfords all day. After Pittsburgh pulled with-

in two, Foster hit his second home run of the day for a 5-2 Cincinnati lead.

banhf6.png

The Crawfords had two big chances to get the score in their favor, but fell short each time. The first

such instance came in the bottom of the sixth inning. After the Crawfords loaded the bases with two

singles and a walk, Sam Bankhead (pictured) drew a walk of his own, scoring Josh Gibson. Gullett was

then able to induce a pop up by Judy Johnson and got pinch hitter Rap Dixon swinging for a quick two

outs. Cool Papa Bell would get one more run home with a single before Gullett got SazPare Augustine

swinging to end the inning, keeping the Reds ahead 5-4.

wiljf7.png

The second chance for Pittsburgh came in the bottom of the ninth. The Crawfords loaded the bases

in the ninth with two outs, bringing the winning run to the plate in the form of Boojum Wilson (pic-

tured). Rawly Eastwick and Wilson battled, but Eastwick won in the end as a fly out to left was all

Wilson could muster in a 7-4 Cincinnati victory.

leaig3.png

Tommy Leach connects for a three run home run in the sixth, tying the game for the Pirates.

weteex9.pngwetwpye5.png

The game remained tied 3-3 until the bottom of the eleventh inning. Tommy Leach led off the frame for

Pittsburgh with a single up the middle. After Leach stole second, Fred Clarke was intentionally walked

to bring Honus Wagner up with no outs. After fighting off a few pitches, Wagner buried one into the

plate. (Right) Montreal pitcher John Wetteland charged in but bobbled the ball, allowing everyone to

reach safely. With the bases now loaded with nobody out, Wetteland induced a pop up from Dots Miller

to bring Chief Wilson to the plate with one out. (Right) On the first pitch to Wilson, Wetteland bounced

a breaking ball past catcher Darrin Fletcher. On the alert at third, Tommy Leach tore for home before

the ball hit Fletcher, reading the play perfectly. Leach would slide home before a play could be made,

giving Pittsburgh a birth in the Pool 3 Finals.
