sfgiantsflgators
Total Classics Madness, Final Four It's Earl Battey's World - The Dodgers Are Just Livin' In It Willie Davis drove in the first run of the game with a double in the first inning, scoring Jim Gilliam from first base. Davis got greedy though as he rounded second too far and got tagged out in his attempt to return back to the bag. After Dodgers catcher Johnny Roseboro put the Dodgers up 3-0 with a two run home run in the top of the second, his counterpart Earl Battey went to work in the Twins half of the frame, blasting a two run shot of his own to put Minnesota back within one. Maury Wills drove in the last Dodgers run of the contest in the fifth inning with a double down the left field line, scoring Johnny Roseboro for a 4-2 Los Angeles lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Earl Battey got things rolling for Minnesota with a one out single that sent Don Mincher from first to third. Mincher would score two batters later when pinch-hitter Rich Rollins singled him home and Battey would score when the next hitter, Zoilo Versalles, doubled to left center, tying the game 4-4. With the score still tied 4-4, Earl Battey struck one more time, singling with runners on first and sec- ond and one out, scoring Harmon Killebrew for the go-ahead run, putting Minnesota up 5-4. Lou Johnson singled with one out in the top of the ninth, but Twins closer Al Worthington induced a ground ball from Wes Parker (pictured) for a 4-6-3 double play to end the game, sending the Twins into the Total Classics Championship Game against the 1909 Pirates. Scoring T1: W. Davis double scores Gilliam T2: Roseboro two run HR B2: Battey two run HR T5: Wills double scores Roseboro B6: Rollins single scores Mincher; Versalles double scores Battey B7: Battey single scores Killebrew W - Klippstein L - Koufax S - Worthington Player of the Game: Earl Battey 3-3, HR, 3 RBI, BB, 2 R Johnny Roseboro 2-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R For Boxscore, click here

sfgiantsflgators
9 walks for Koufax? 0.o go Pirates. yeah, Koufax definitely wasn't on his game. the Twins could have easily scored 8-10 runs but Koufax got some weak pop outs in a couple key situations. sfgiantsflgators
Currently the voting for Championship Game stadium sits at: Kauffman 2 Polo Grounds 1 LA Memorial 1 Voting will be open until tomorrow afternoon-ish. I aim to play the Final sometime tomorrow afternoon/early evening. Probably depends on whether or not I care enough to watch the NFL games. Keep those votes coming - whatever stadium gets the most support will host the Total Classics Madness Championship Game! :D
